There aren't great or bad but since the list of my tag my ain't shit threshold is higher than usual lol. And I was talking about the film's with the biggest nerd last night and realized they aren't that great and the side stuff they don't count is what's been proping it up the last 20 years

Let's pretend that the Canon Universe is bad, bruhs.

Anybody watch that show Dark Matter?

I watched the first 4 epsiodes. It is real good in a throwback kind of way. I need to go back get on it.

Man I use to ride hard for Syfy, but ever sense Eureka and stuff got canceled I keep forgetting it exists

After Eureka there hasn't been anything really entertaining on there. Some good mini series, but they come and go pretty quickly.

Two of my friends didn't get into their #1 college. One of em is in the top 10% of our very intelligent class. Another person I know was denied from her #1. Also top 10%. The hell is going on?

Binged the first season on Netflix thanks to a friend's recommendation, caught the second as it aired. Ended on a pretty good cliffhanger. It's also got Curtis from 24 in it, and I'll watch anything with him in it thanks to a ridiculous escape sequence he had in 24.

Check out Continum if you haven't seen it yet. 4 seasons of time travel fuckery.

Yeah, I'm liking the show a lot. Nearly through with the second season.

Thanks for the Continuum recommendation. Might check out Fringe or Black Mirror first though.

Was it good? It seemed like no one was excited for it.

The first half was a good movie set in the Star Wars universe. The second half was a good Star Wars movie. I loved it.

Kinda a spoiler:

The CG Effect to recreate Peter Cushing was fantastic.

It's a little jarring because many of the things you expect in a Star Wars film just ain't there, but it's a good time all the same.

And it's hella dark. Like, Empire bleak.

Yeah but even if it was awful he'd have nothing but nice things to say about the cast and production staff...and the theater he went to see the movie in..

...and the cab driver who brought him there.
Shy out here singing

How you feeling everybody hope you had a nice day
Sometimes I feel all alone
Sometimes I can't get away
I feel my life is in danger every night when I lay
So can you do me a favor, smile for me?

Went in double on work today. Try to make as much as I can before I leave for this new one. Tired as hell. Just got through watching an episode on Netflix and now I'm just going to chill for a few minutes.

You know what's weird? We like to talk about how people "couldn't relate" to the cast of GTA San Andreas, but whenever I lurk 4chan threads about that game its central cast actually seems to be well-liked over there. The cynical side of me says it's just them laughing at funny black people, but the optimistic side of me says people just managed to decently written characters.

I'm expecting everyone to die getting those Death Star plans. Probably something similar to Halo Reach since both are prequels that involve getting some vital tech to help with a war and the story that immediately follows starts with a ship escaping something.

The fun slave song thread made me remember that the songs in Song of the South are technically supposed to be that, then i realized why that movie is banned in the US.

The movie isn't banned. Disney just refuses to acknowledge it or sell it
