This got me thinking back to when hurricane Gilbert hit Jamaica in '88, I was only 4 years old, but I remember how my grand parents took in some of our neighbors who got displaced. It was the house a lot of us grew up in and it stood strong through out the storm.

St. Martin was literally levelled, thousands are now homeless (over 70% of all homes are damaged or destroyed), nine people are dead so far.
