Yeah so I'm thinking me and GAF need to take a break. Don't know who is trolling and who is just stupid but I'm just tired of reading it. Most of the arguments are at the intellectual level of stormfront. Wish I was being hyperbolic.

Regarding black porn, it's gotten better, mostly because there are more black produced movies and directors. Justin Slayer, Lexington Steel, Nat Turner, etc.

I don't care about the racist idiots necessarily, but what really hurts me about something like this is that the girl playing the character isn't going to have the same opportunities as white kids her age in this industry, in part because of the attitudes that those types of people have.

And sadly, it's not just the US, hell, it's probably a ways bit better here. With these emerging markets in places like China being so important....I really fear for the future of blacks in films.

Gross. The irony being I actually do have friends of various minorities and that's exactly why I don't say disrespectful shit, since they've told me where the boundaries usually lie. And also whomever says those things is a fucking moron on top of that. The words and jokes one can say around their friends, who one has established a rapport with, are not something you say to a larger audience. Basic decency 101 here and people still fail.

Haven't had any dumb Martin related stuff on my facebook. Well, outside of white people posting pics of themselves in hoodies and posting "do I look dangerous?"

It's just funny that when people called him out on it, he would either sidestep the accusation to talk about something completely irrelevant to the discussion or just straight up make another lie on top of his previous one. March is really bringing out the best in gaf.

ok, i wish i didnt read that hunger games thread. seeing the disgust at the selection of an actress because of her skin, or the lack or remorse that can be had doesnt shock me. and that really pisses me off.

I don't think I've ever seen a party flyer for a black orientated party that didn't make me roll my damn eyes. It's always some bullshit like "Let's Celebrate Ignorance" or "Ghetto blacks, rib racks" or some shit like that. Why are some people so damn un-self-conscious?
