But yeah, I'm gonna be here until at least 8pm / 9pm CST, so blech. I think you signed offline just like 15 minutes before I got on last night (had to answer like 10 friend requests). But if not this week, next week will be much more manageable in time (gotta get a project ready for upper management to see Monday).
 
For any downtown Toronto gaffers, I saw two copies of the LE at the Gamestop at Metro Hall. I don't know for sure if they're preordered or something, but they were on the shelf behind the counter so they're probably fair game.

yea, i dont care about win/loss records, i play for fun. altho it would be more fun if i can consistently win. i seem to be able to drive people down to a sliver of life but i lose anyways. i need to step it up :lol

The idea is to set yourself up with a permanent excuse so no one knows how terrible you are. I'm goin to play against people irl after work today...wont matter how many matches i lose if i could just get that musty old clap trap loop once.

I got the game on monday and I really like it. Just out of curiosity: Is the game in stereo only? I can't get any 5.1 sound.

I'm kind of dissapointed with the sound quality. What about the 360 version (which I can't play because it's not region free)?

and assuming they'll find a copy.

I've seen BB @ Best Buy here as well.

Really. Stop limiting your choices as a consumer folks.

Best Buy / Target / Toys R Us are all great alternatives to those other places that don't carry enough inventory of this shit they "specialize" in. :P

Not if you're in Canada. The major retailers don't carry BB because it has no French packaging.

forgot about BB. i meant to pick up the game. now I can. hopefully they have the LE so i can pick it up for 50 [with the $10 RZ cert i have ;D]
 
Picked it up yesterday at Gamestop for the PS3. Awesome game which if your still in this thread I'd assume you all know anyways. :lol

Playing it though, I think I want to get an arcade stick for it. I haven't wanted one for any other fighting game yet but there's something about this one that's pushing me to get one.

i was gonna watch it but i saw some GAF guys on so i joined them. i must know thy secrets!
 
I still have no clue what I'm doing, but the Blu-Ray was really helpful. At least it gives you a good idea on what opposing players will be focusing on with their characters.

Also, I've got to express the fact that I love that there are only 12 characters. They all feel unique, and it's not such an overwhelming amount that it becomes impossible to learn to play/play-against the different characters.

Such a little detail I love.
 
There's been some reports that a few people are having a hard time getting the Blu-Ray tutorial disc to play properly. I would like those few people to try these steps to get the disc working:

Step 1: Make sure you have the latest firmware update for your PS3.
Step 2: Make sure the Blu-Ray is not in the drive when you switch it on/off.
Step 3: Turn your PS3 on/off with the switch in the back. This will "reboot" your PS3 and the Blu-Bay should be recognized
Step 4: Re-insert the Blu-Ray.
Step 5: Look for the Blu-Ray in the "Video" bar and not the "Game" bar.

If all of else fails, then by all means contact us so that we can get a replacement sent out to you.

this, plus the button config menu that actually works as it should are great

yeah, both are returning from GG, but it's still mindblowing how other devs forget these things.
 
I am a bit shocked they manged to get this game only rated T :lol

Ok, if my computer will read the DVD this time, I should have a video of the match I did a great come back on.

I don't know, 1 point of suggestive theme is worth the same as 10 points of violence in the ESRB's book. Then again, they just slap a letter on a piece of paper and get $500 for it.

I didn't realize that was the issue. So annoying to go to EB to pick up my preorder only to find it was an XBox360 version. Of course that was the only copy of the game they got and are going to get.

I can't even find a copy to order online anymore.

If anyone's playing tonight, I'm game...I should be on by 7pm CST and can go until whenever. I'm looking for some good player matches to help improve...still kinda scrubby though. Jin's my main and I get into the nasty habit of poking with a B or C Ice car and paying severely for it...:lol

one thing that kinda bugged me? during a match, all the sound cut out and i went into some "super power KRAZZZZYYYY!!" mode and it sounded like a chinese rock anthem soap opera when this new "BLAZING!" music came in...i had no idea what was going on.

it was kindof wack? imo?

If you don't like it, go to options and change system from "Console" to "Arcade". that will remove the song.
