The blood of Dawnwalker: New footage

Awesome, options, options are always good. I quite dig a very close camera, just like CDPR added to Witcher 3, but this won't always be ideal.

This quote by the IGN dude sounds damn good:

"Compared to Witcher 3 or Vampyr, The blood of Dawnwalker captures that open ended, free form nature of classic RPGs like Gothic I and II."

Listening to customer base and improving on the product in meaningful way, trully refreshing in this day and age, coz many western devs go to is not even to ignore community/players complains but to call them names flat out instead :)
U can tell from Rebel Wolves behaviour right there they do put in their very souls into the game, its not just another boring game project for them :messenger_ok:

This looks really good. It might not be a popular opinion, but I like the time restriction quest idea.

Zooming out the camera makes the game feel so much better. I'm looking forward to this game.

Was just going to comment how the camera in the OP video looks to be further away than in the previous gameplay we had seen.
It's pretty crazy how a relatively simple change like that makes it looks way better now.

From my understanding it's not like a real time timer right?
It's more like certain actions in the game will make the time advance. If so I think that's a neat concept.

Yeah, exactly. From what I've read the time doesn't run in the background, it only advances when you're doing quests. So you can freely explore and collect stuff without any pressure.

Absolutely hyped for this game and a mixture of the Witcher 3 and Dishonored is nothing but a win win for me, i'm really looking forward to the Blood of Dawnwalker.

Combat looks boring and I really need more variety than just sword attacks for the entire game. The hex magic or whatever they mentioned better allow in depth builds that can stand on their own without needing sword attacks.

Hate time limit in games and I can see this one needing a mod asap. Not feeling the story much either to be honest.

On the other hand, world looks good for exploration, graphics are decent and traversal looks fun.

Overall, not sold yet.

Wish they'd outsource the combat, but the world/story stuff sounds interesting.

I don't really care for the clear split between doing missions in vampire or human form. I would prefer having the ability to change your approach on the fly. From what was shown, the human stuff seems really boring compared to the vampire side.

I think this and RE9 are my favorite 2026 games I want to play. Onimusha too but I really want a good vampire game. This may be it.

I already saw devs post it by themselves on Dawnwalker subreddit.

I commented they should also add third person camera option for abilities they have currently as a first person. Comment is getting traction.

Such a simple change would make combat more fluid to me.

That depends if they will listen though.

This looks excellent and the soundtrack is even better. I believe the studio used some of the same performers as Witcher 3 did.

If it reviews well I will support the studio and buy it.

So it looks like it is possible to run out of time by making wrong choices. I wonder if there will be some way to rewind to a point where we screwed up or we have to play all the way from the beginning

This is exactly what I wish Legacy of Kain turned into. I didn't want to be a jawless blue soul sucker, I wanted to be Kain. This looks amazing.

Yeah, time progresses by completing main quests and any time the change of time will happen it's also signaled to the player. So it's not really as bad as it initially sounded
