Forgot about the animated. Looking it up. You're right, they probably wouldn't want to fragment the character, especially as she's so central to that series.

oof. Yeah, crossover with something like Picard isn't likely due to viewership overlap.

Kind of strange to consider. In 70s/80s kids watched animated Trek and Star Trek movies, plus the original series and could understand the difference. Parents had more control if necessary. Not that these shows all happened being made all at once. The simultaneous was a result of syndicated tv.
