Linder dun goofed. He had no clue, I had had no clue that Robles was packing and ready to use. Even with the smirk beforehand I wasn't expecting it. Seems like a bitter end for him now.

I also have no idea how they're going to wrap it up in a season final, which sadly might be the last episode for the series. They've hammered home the border corruption which could be its own entirely separate series and we still have to get to a conclusion for Marco, Fausto and the last time Sonya and Hank might see each other alive. Once again, I have no clue where's it's gonna go.

Sidenote, tonight was the first episode where Demian Bichir's younger brother really, really sounded like when he voiced his frustrations about his daughter.

And was at least half the episode in Spanish tonight?

Nice to see the writers continuing to trim off the fat that are the side characters (assuming Linder is really dead). Cool twist too, in that I thought he'd at least kill Robles before being killed off but Robles got to him first and came out unscathed.

Oh, the age-old Samson curse. Only for facial hair. Lame scene. Linder wasn't even attempting to be stealthy, you could hear him approaching. And a stone? And sneaking up to a police captain that surely carries a gun? If you're going to kill him do it decently at least.

I'm pretty indifferent to the rest to be honest. I guess they did deliver on 'border politics' and behind the scenes stuff. But it's all more or less ho-hum in my mind.

I'm kinda over this show actually. So far the story has only been mildly interesting, and some of the characters have lost their charm. I don't care at all about Elenore or her journal or her story. If they kill of Fausto or Sebastian, I wouldn't care either. I'm just indifferent to the whole thing now.

If the show gets renewed, I want a completely different case that's encapsulated in a single season.

I just hope that in the end Fausto Galvan is still alive, since he has been one of the best characters of the show. Also didn't like the way they killed off Linder, I was expecting him to at least fight the captain, but sadly he didn't even touched him.

I caught up on this season (I always seem to fall behind an episode or two). It has certainly been enjoyable, but I guess I'm just not in love with it the way some critics and even some people in here are. I wish I was, but I guess it just isn't hitting me the same way. I'm curious how the finale will shake out. Seems like a lot to cover though as has been mentioned they have been at least tying off some of the side plots. I'd definitely welcome another season though. Or this might be just as good:

If The Bridge ends up getting canceled, I want FX to occasionally run random 30-second snippets of the two of them discussing vampire lit for the next few years.

While it wrapped up some of the storylines, other things were left up in the air, and considering the fate of the show that is disconcerting. If there was the guarantee of another season, my opinion would likely be more positive. If there was a time for an extended episode this would be it. At least even a epilogue.

Off to read what the showrunner/producer has to say.

Edit:

And the diner looks like the same one from Justified last season. I assume is the same LA(?) diner.

Married and Justified shared locations too. So yeah, wouldn't be surprised.

That final shot was great by the way. Episode overall was okay, satisfying but not great. I'll be on board for a new season if that happens.

S1 ended with an extreme zoom in on Marco's face. S2 ended with an extreme zoom out on the landscape.

Lame ending in the way that nothing was concretely concluded. Who's to say some corrupt Mexicans won't storm Fausto out while Ruiz is getting rid of the body?
What was the point of Linden getting shot and then survive?

Good to know Andrea is 'As happy as i ever get' with her sister still kidnapped by the guys who did those horrible things to Eva. Nope, she can't get any happier than now.

I don't think i'll be coming back to next season if there's one. They would have to really step it up. The show needs to figure out what it brings to the table other shows don't and make something good of it. Is it the Cop-with-Asperger? Is it a policeman pair where one is American and one Mexican? Is it about cases from either side of the border that leak in and out of it? Isn't about a pair of journalists exposing whatever?
