The colors of this photo will appear different to everyone. I think?

I've been switching constantly for the past half an hour

Seriously every time I look back at it after closing my eyes for a bit or watching hockey or whatever, it turns from one to the other. It's switched at least 5-6 times by now.
It's so weird, though. Now every single version of that image looks solidly blue and black. I can't even imagine or remember how I saw white/gold in it so clearly just a few minutes ago.

I'm not joking here, I have no fucking idea how anyone is seeing anything other than white and gold.

Feels like I'm getting trolled or some shit tbh.

I feel like half of the earth's population is on some elaborate troll to convince me they see white/gold when in reality everyone knows it is black and blue.

I was able to see both earlier, but my brain has stopped fighting itself and reality, so I'm currently firmly on #TeamBlue&Black. I can no longer see white or gold.

It's like....The hell was wrong with me earlier, right? What a jerk I used to be. Just a white and gold seeing jerk.

It's fucking crazy how hard it hits you right? I took courses in photography and film and somehow I could've sworn it was white and gold there for a while. I'm disgusted with myself.

I too saw white and gold first, but now it's 100% light blue and gold. I think at least part of it is white and gold people see the dress being in shadow, when it's not.

I was solidly on team white/gold, to the point where I thought everyone saying black/blue for 10+ pages were trolling, but then I clicked that imgur link, scrolled down and looked at the guy's color corrected version for a bit, then when I scrolled back up I was shocked that the original appeared black/blue to me.
Same thing just happened to me. Mind magic!

People that see white and gold have mental issues.

This is what I think about anyone who see's black and blue because clearly it's white and gold. Even photoshop picks out a brown colour and that is no where near black or blue... I can understand why some people think the white part might be blue but shadowed white is grey / blue.

I think it's funny how people are literally calling it blue because of the shadowing mixture on a white surface. So if I bring that dress out to direct light then they would just change their answer to white? Obviously we know more than what we see. We know it's a white surface that isn't literally white at that moment due to the lighting.

So if we put the White Ranger in similar lighting conditions he's the Light Blue Ranger all of a sudden?

Correct, this "Photoshop" data is meaningless if you're just pulling the color directly from the photo.

Edit: I mean the principle behind your thinking, not that the dress is actually white and gold. For the record, I still see it's white and gold, but I know the dress is actually blue and black (from that one Amazon link).

This post is making me far more angry than it should.

That shit's blue. It's blue no matter what.

Spoken like a true Republican. ;)
You're only making this worse.

BRIGHTER is clearly white and gold to me.

DARKER is clearly blue and black to me.

ORIGINAL is still white and gold to me, albeit with a blue hue because of the shadow/light. My brain is still telling me that the dress is white, though; not some grey-blue.

The "blue and black" people are conducting some sort of social experiment. They are saying the colors are blue and black to fuck with our heads.

But we factually know it's blue under an artificial light, not white getting mixed with a shadow.

The dress is literally blue. Like, the actual dress. It's blue.
