The colors of this photo will appear different to everyone. I think?

Well, it was white and gold. Then I scrolled down and saw the other images. Now I am seeing blue and black.

Am I.... am I dying? WHat the fuck is happening?

Is this some kind of racism litmus test? If so I'm totally racist. All I see is white and gold.

I dream of a day when dresses are not judged by the color of their fabric...

"In conclusion, your retina’s cones are more high functioning, and this results in your eyes doing subtractive mixing."

You still got it Montresor. Attaboy. I see blue and black.

At first it was Blue and Black and then the sun came through the window and it was Blue and Gold.
huh.gif

This is white and gold to me. Ugh. I want to take the red pill.

That's showing up a little white and gold to me too (because its purposefully modified, but if I focus I can see the blue shade and brown highly saturated), and the pic in OP has never changed from blue/black for me.

From this GIF i think you can make out where the optical illusion is coming from and how some people might attribute it to being white and gold.

I thought for sure people were trolling when they said blue and black but I asked some girl friends before class what they saw and some said blue black, one saw brown and something and I and another girl saw white and gold, thought apparently I saw it the lightest. I am fucking freaking out what the hellllll we are being invaded by aliens

What the shit!

When I first saw the dress it was white and gold and I was thinking people saying blue and black have to be trolling. So I went on Twitter to look.

I had the first page of this thread still open scrolled up and the dress is now black and blue WTF?!

When I first saw it in the morning it was white/gold. A few minutes later black/blue and it won't change anymore. Doesn't matter though, I'm right. I'm also colour blind (the red-green thing) which, going with the scientific approach here, means that my eyes are better than those white/gold ANIMALS.

So I woke up this morning and checked in on this thread... White/gold when I first looked at it but it's slowly turning to it's proper blue/black colors again. O.o

I followed this controversy all night. For the first hour it was clearly white and gold, then I saw black and blue and could not go back.

I woke up this morning seeing white and gold again - but now it's literally changing before my eyes as I look at it. It's so hard to believe it's not a .gif, but I know it's not. I can actually see the colour rushing into the dress in a microsecond as my eyes adjust to what I know it must be. I look away and look back and it happens again - an instant change from white and gold to washed out blue and overexposed black.

Definitely one of the coolest optical illusions I've ever seen, and it's awesome to see the internet used for something so genuinely fun and harmless for once.

I'm seeing back and forth Between white and blue. The crazy thing is when you see it as blue, it is really blue. Not light blue.
This is insane.

It's White and Gold, who says otherwise is a dangerous speciment made out of alien DNA

This is my completely white wall. According to color picked in paint, it's blue. But that's because my white balance was messed up. Does this mean my wall is blue because paint says so? No.

It means the picture of your wall is blue, yeah.

the dress is clearly light blue/brownish gold in the picture but not in real life

It's hella blue now when I look at it. maybe my eyes were tired? I saw an article saying we become less sensitive to blue light as we get older.

Post your age and the color you see! LOL

I'm 32, saw white/gold at first, now I see blue/black.

OK guys,

I've thought long and hard about this and have come to my conclusion.

While I see it White and Gold I can fully accept other people's decision to view it as Black and Blue instead.

If they want to look at that dress and say that the colours are Black and Blue then that is their choice and their decision to do so and I should respect that decision.

Personally, I don't see it Black and Blue but who am I to judge others who choose to see it that way?
