The Dark Knight Rises (Batman 3) - No Riddler

Yep. Which is exactly why TDK ends on a sort of cliffhanger.

This is obviously factually wrong. Obviously his death could have had an impact on the sequel, but his death had zero impact on how the dark knight ended. The movie was already finished when he died.

EDIT: Which reading again, may have been what you meant. But, as stated a couple times previously, the idea of the joker being a major role in the third film was changed before they started filming the dark knight. The two movies essentially got smashed down to one, as the original idea was that Dent would not become the villain until the third movie, with Joker being a background player in the grand scheme of things I guess. This was all scrapped, obviously. Odds are we would be right where we are now, but there would have maybe been a Joker cameo. There is about zero chance Joker would have been a main character in the dark knight rises.

Tomorrow I'm going to go see The Dark Knight in the local IMAX. They had BETTER show the prologue for TDKR beforehand, or else it'll be a big swing and a miss.

Moore Warren? Just saw it there today. Fucking amazing screen and audio (biggest digital screen in the US). I have no idea why Oklahoma was graced with this, but I won't argue either.

People really have to shut the fuck up about this Robin shit. The movie is called "The Dark Knight Rises", not "Some Bird Kid Shows Up".

It's not called 'Bruce Wayne Rises', now does it? Anybody can be the Batman, just like Alejandro can be the Zorro. Anything can happen at this point.

So no Lucious Fox in TDKR either?
Or is he the real Ra's Al Ghul

Stop reinforcing the stereotype.

Yeah? Put your money where your mouth is. What movie made by Spielberg within the last 10 years was better than Dark Knight?

Would it been so bad if a fucking comic book movie was nominated for best picture? I can understand not winning it, but at least a nomination?

Also, to the avatar fans chuckling at this, Cameron peaked at T2, so please leave it out of the conversation...thanks

Munich, you silly boy. That is just one of them.

You need to roll around a bit with your training wheels before you go toe to toe with Sculli in a Spielberg conversation. Start small, here's a manual on how to rage over Stephen Daldry being Best Picture nominated for nearly all his movies.

Amazing Joker pictures! Always made me a little bit sad that Nolan and WB didn't give us a more intimate look at the production post-release, although I understand their reasons for it.

Munich's damn comparable, but I got to side with the junior on this one! Also, I'm only calling him junior because I'm quite honestly too lazy to scroll up and quote him directly. I'm also aware that in the time it took me to type that out, I could have just checked.

That's cool. Appreciate the support, and yeah, munich was alright..but not better than TDK.

An Oscar nom was small fry for Nolan, he wanted to take on the entire system. Now 10 films get nominated for best film

Yeah, but then again, I speak of the Oscar nod more towards comic book movies than Nolan himself, because if TDK was nominated for best pic overall, you would have seen a huge halt in half assed CBMs period. The only bad thing about Heath winning as Joker is that some people will get the notion that all you need to make an adaptation as successful is to have an gritty, realistic, over the top manic villain to attract the crowd.

Ledger's Joker may have been the poster boy of the movie, but Nolan seen to it that all elements of the flick were top notch. Why is that wrong to admire?

Spielberg was better than Scorsese last decade, is there seriously a debate as to whether he was better than Nolan too?

pfft. Oh and I'm pretty confident this will be better than Prometheus, despite me being more excited for that film.

Lindelof is trash.
