They are re-releasing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in June. They are the same exact versions, but now with TDKR Movie Money inside.

The real deal comes this fall when WB is releasing a trilogy box set with new features.

Don't expect much in the way of features. Nolan has said he has come to not like extensive behind the scene footage, he likes to keep that mysterious and feels commentaries shouldn't be done on movies till many years after they are out.

I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't do another Batmanime video series. I really enjoyed the last one, and I would've loved to see some new ones.

Well they really can't this time. Batman: Gotham Knight took place in between BB and TDK and as for TDKR (light spoilers, nothing not revealed in official press stuff):
It is said the 8 years between TDK and TDKR Bruce has never appeared as Batman and Batman has retired in a way
.

Knowing what goes on between TDK and TDKR I don't think I would want to watch BATMAN episodes.

If they did a BANE anime with his Nolan backstory that would be the shit.

Have we managed to find out yet what exactly his role in this movie is going to be? Or what the more likely rumors are, at least?

He is either going to A) be a cop that is hardcore going after Batman thinking that Batman is the major badguy and thinking that he did something to someone in his past and at the end comes around OR
He will be the one cop besides Gordon who helps Batman and has his back while the rest are gunning for him and gives him the talk to push him (you know the one I mean).
Hell he will probably be the kid from that window in Batman Begins though I guess the timeline would definitely not allow for that.

Agreed, problem is WB likes money. A animated movie set between the two films like Gotham Knight was to BB and TDK that doesn't have Batman in it wouldn't be popular enough to warrant making I suppose. Which is too bad.

Anyone who hasn't seen Batman: Gotham Knight should. I'm going to include it between BB & TDK in any marathon I do of the trilogy in the future.

I would't either if done right, but it is kind of out out of left field especially if more than a nickname and an actual costume is involved.

Is it? Both Bane and Azrael are pivotal characters in the Knightfall story. It would actually make perfect sense.

It is, but Azrael was around before Knightfall he did not just show up out of nowhere and take over.
I just think that throwing him in with no previous groundwork would be sloppy, and clutter up things especially without the backstory of his programming and breaking that programming by the Order is what set him up.

WB is running a tight ship here, they're not just sending out badly written character synopsis's that read like deviant-art fan wank for the shits and giggles.

Reminds me of the only thing we knew about Inception for about a year, that it was "a thriller that takes place within the architecture of the mind." Pretty accurate in hindsight, but it made no fucking sense whatsoever at the time.

I don't really know if everyone needs to see it. It's find but nothing brilliant. Under The Red Hood or whatever it's called stands out way more in my mind than any if the GK shorts.

JGL to play Killer Croc?

if this is the croc in question

then yes

The JLG rumor kinda makes sense.

I mean, having that name be his code name an all, plus what his role would be. Not like he NEEDS to get into costume or anything to be that character.

Azrael's costume and all of the trappings were pretty much a major part of who Azrael is.
A codename could fit many, but not Azrael.

That's basically what I think it is: a code name, nothing more.

have you guys seen this?!?!?
