It will either break the third movie curse or be one of the biggest letdowns in comic book history.
THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND.
MIB3 already broke the comic book threequel curse. It will either break the third movie curse or be one of the biggest letdowns in comic book history.

Anne Hathaway thinks the movie will be surprising? Difficult to see how considering the 4 trailers and number of tv spots we have gotten.

batman? more like fatman

Though I guess I can see why one wouldn't count that, I SUPPOSE

JP3.
JP3.
JP3.
I would say it could be like bourne 3 -
In that the first was best, the second was the most popular and third was the greatest hit version of what's come before.
That's not really fair, I don't think. Threequels that managed to be good after a shitty second movie are even rarer. No it didn't. The curse only applies to franchises where the first sequel didn't suck noodles.
Doesn't count for movies where the second movie sucked or movies that were all shot back to back.
They never made any Jurrasic Park sequelsJP2 is great, but JP3 is garbabe. Fun movie, but garbage.
I'm personally disappointed Jurassic Park 4 won't be using that crazy script from a few years back. They never made any Jurrasic Park sequels

Where is Beverly Hills Cop 3?
Judge, I submit Exhibit A of franchises that qualify for the dread Third Movie Curse:
Terminator
Alien
X-Men
Godfather
BttF
Spider-Man
Rocky (You know it's true. This is when it became cartoon character central)
Rush Hour
Austin Powers
Planet of the Apes
You find me a great third film in a franchise (not filmed back to back) where the first two films were GREAT and then the third one lived up to them.

Only on NeoGAF is not only BTTF3 the worse of the BttF sequels, but Toy Story 3 also apparently isn't very good
Toy StoryWhat? No they're not.

Die Hard.
Toy Story.
Now name me franchises that managed to recover from a terrible sequel and manage to put out a decent third one.
JP2 is great, but JP3 is garbabe. Fun movie, but garbage.
And regarding Bourne:
Identity > Supremacy = Ultimatum
The Man with No Name trilogy. Each film was better than the last with the third being the best.

- people saying For A Few Dollars More is better than The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly (fuck these people)
I 100% agree with you, but be prepared for:
- people complaining that it's not a proper trilogy (fuck these people)
- people saying For A Few Dollars More is better than The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly (fuck these people)
People actually say this?
I wouldn't really consider them sequels though.
If you don't agree (fuck that person)
