I sure could go for two and a half hours of commentary that goes like:

Bale "This scene kicks ass."
Nolan "Yeah, I fucking rock."
Freeman: Directly after this scene, I collected my paycheck and went home.

People who are hoping for some "UNRATED 3 HOURS DIRECTORS CUT" will be waiting for quiet a long time.

This is Nolan's cut, period. Just like Batman Begins was Nolan's cut.

I'm not sure what yall want from the re-release, maybe bloopers of the Joker? :lol Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing that. =[

Man, I'd buy an entire DVD worth of Ledger just walking around as the Joker. Practicing his lines. Doing different takes. Eating a sammich. Talking with people normally.

FUCKING ANYTHING.

Actually, I would much prefer a GAF commentary on the movie. Though, pretty sure wouldn't be much different than that. :p

If that were to happen soon as Batman talks, everyone will start doing their Batman voice.

WHEREIZHE?!

Caught it again on IMAX last night. First time I noticed the guy standing by Maroni's car gets taken out by Harvey when Maroni and his driver walk to the other side of the car.

Saw it again in an IMAX theater and while the screen was sharper and smoother, the overall experience didn't excite me much. Maybe it was a fake imax theater..

I can't believe i missed that. :lol
Well it's easy to overlook when the focus of the shot is Maroni getting into his car.

It was my third time watching so my eyes started to wander. Although I was still startled when the fake batman hit the mayor's window. I was too into the movie.

Some more info about the blu-ray release:

http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=1787

The PlanetaHD site from Spain is reporting the first detailed information about the audio and supplements to be included on Warner's 'The Dark Knight' Blu-ray Disc release. The highly anticipated title will have a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack and will be issued in a two-disc edition.

In addition to the movie itself, the first disc will include the "Gotham Discovered: The Creation of a Scene" extra where Director Christopher Nolan and his collaborators unveil details on the planning of the movie, including stunt double work, how the filming in IMAX was done and information about the new Bat-suit, Bat-pod, etc.

The second disc will include the following documentaries: "Batman Technology: Gadgets and Tools" (in HD), "Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of the Dark Knight" and "The World of Batman Seen Through Real Life Psychotherapy" (in HD), 6 clips from the Gotham Cable Premier's newscast: "Tonight in Gotham", plus art galleries on the Joker's letters, conceptual art, posters, production stills, trailers, and TV spots.

We'll keep you posted as more details come out.

Boring!

I need a demystifying doco on ledger's process with the character.. outtakes and all.
WB didn't even release any ledger pr interviews!

I thought this was CGI, for sure.

This scene also brings up the "batman doesn't kill" question again, because Batman completely fucking annihilated that truck driver. Practically liquified his ass.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I had absolutely no idea those scenes were done with miniatures. Definitely had me fooled.

*raises hand* Miniatures not once crossed my mind. When they can look that good in film, I wonder why most people do CG instead.

lets not start bashing the dvd/blu ray features...im sure that isnt all of them. begins had a lot and Im expecting either the same or even more from TDK.

I lol'd at the miniatures. it looks like an old 70'd flick.
I didnt know they were miniatures either.

I hate when huge films don't have commentary (this one probably won't?).

I'm sure he was okay. The people in the cars he exploded, maybe not so much.

It's so obviously not bale too:lol

which brings up a question: What if Bruce Wayne had to enter a beard growing contest? :O

He has a device that allows him to use the city's cellphones to see through walls.

I'm pretty sure he and Lucius will think of something!

Why would he need to enter a beard growing contest?

Not exactly like he is hard up for cash...

A charity competition or some shit.

or A guy could just challenge him in a bar or something "Oh look, pretty boy Wayne doesn't want to mess with his baby face" and then Wayne would be like "aw hell naw" and then the shit would be on.

If Begins and TDK has taught me anything. It's that Bruce doesn't drink, just knows how to play a drunk real well.

I do wonder what would happen if he gets into a bar fight, but he is usually busy at nights.

Same here, didn't even cross my mind that it might be miniatures.
Why are people going to ILM for car crashes when those miniatures look a hell of a lot better than what CG can pull off..... :(

Well we saw what happened when he was at a strip club.

Gotta love it when he slammed one dude's head on the rail and threw him down the stairs.:lol
That entire scene was awesome because of the cut to it.

"He doesn't want to talk to us. God help whoever he does."
::cut to Maroni in a strip club::

And the cut afterwards;

"A fall from this height wouldn't kill me"
"I'm counting on it"
*Snap*

Oh yeah.... :D

Much like the "Hopefully, he's busy." in the beginning of the film. Gordon knows his shit.

So in the final confrontation, why the fuck doesn't Harvey shoot Batman in the face?

He probably would've had some sort of metallic plating built inside of the mask to prevent the bullet from penetrating it anyway.
