Hot Toys = me going broke.

Hell no. I was happy just to have the Bank Robber Joker. If they are doing a Harvey Twoface then that means I have to get that AND Batman (to round it out.)

You know what else I want? One of those DVDs that have all the Batman comics on it sort of like what Marvel does. I would pretty much buy almost every series despite getting headaches reading anything Golden-Age other than old Charleston books.

I don't see what the point is of a theatrical re-release... maybe they'll actually show it at my IMAX this time around, then I'd go see but otherwise, no. Would it still be the same film, no edits?

I don't see why they'd edit it down. If anything, there should be stuff put in that was left out. Maybe a missing Joker scene (though I think they used all of them).

When someone says edit, it doesn't always mean that they are taking away something AniHawk sir. It is pretty interchangeable in film like the word cut.

Which still makes it sound like they're taking something away, at least without putting in 'special' or 'director's' first.

It does have that sound though, I agree, but I suppose I am just used to it from having a subscription of Variety and when they are talking about different edits of films like the European edit or something of that nature.

I don't even remember when I posted in this thread last. Can someone summarie the last 20 pages for me? (100 posts per page. 2000 posts. Or 40 pages if you use the 50ppp option.)

What is this I hear about the home video and rerelease in theaters and toys and.. I dunno. What did I miss? :lol :lol :lol

Aside from that awesome image..

Oooooh everyone is so bold and brave while I'm locked up in Arkham. You'll be singing a different tune once I've secured my early release.

"bold and brave"? Just like the upcoming new Batman cartoon on Cartoon Network, Batman: The Brave And The Bold - who said that cross-promotion doesn't work? - but that mention of an early release is what seems particularly interesting. Will The Dark Knight appear on DVD and BluRay before its planned December date?

Question about the music in the film. Is the music present on the soundtrack when Batman is in China and is standing on top the building before he jumps off to catch the Chinese man who holds all the mob's money?

I mean before he jumps off and glides for the first time, when he shoots those goo-bombs at the windows.

Yes.

I think that's "I'm Not a Hero" but I'm not positive.

I wish something new about the Dark Knight would come out everyday. I am fucking tired of reading everything else in the Off Topic.
I really wish Nolan would speak up already :[

jack nicholson now, jack nicholson '74, or meg ryan?

Jackie boy in 1974 but I am afraid that his massive balls from that era might cause me to drown in so much ballage I would die before I can see the next Batman movie.

I had a dream that in the comic books they started to draw the Joker like how Heath looked. Wouldn't that be dreamy?

there's actually some new graphic novel i was flipping through the other day where Joker's origin is changed and he has a chesire smile that is caused by Batman's batarang.

That's pretty sweet. I should go look for some pics. What was the name of the graphic novel?

i don't remember for sure, Gods and Monsters or something like that. Its not that great, but its an interesting take.

I would watch TDK one more time on IMAX come January, even if I will already own the bluray.

I'm not sure what yall want from the re-release, maybe bloopers of the Joker? :lol Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing that. =[

10:05 AM TEXAS TIME: "Daan" sent BOF the following info on THE DARK KNIGHT's DVD release in The Netherlands. I'd imagine that the features will be similar in other parts of the world.

DVD Extras:

"Batman Tech" (Documentary)
"Back to Batman" (EC Feature)
"Mad Love" (Motion Comic)

Blu-ray Extras:

"Gotham Tonight" (The Comcast Cable shorts)
"The Dark Knight Unmasked" (Documentary)

"Batman Tech" (Documentary)
"Back to Batman" (EC Feature)
"Mad Love" (Motion Comic)

THE DARK KNIGHT DVD is being released on December 10th in The Netherlands. The rumor is that it's being released Tuesday, December 9th in the U.S.

But I hear Nolan and Bale aren't fans of commentary.
I sure could go for two and a half hours of commentary that goes like:

Bale "This scene kicks ass."
Nolan "Yeah, I fucking rock."

"The Dark Knight Unmasked" (Documentary)

If that was the History Channel's recent documentary then they aren't doing a heck of a lot to 'exclusivize' the blu-ray release.

Still, I guess I set my sights a little high with "3 hours directors cut", "commentary from cast and crew" and "24 Hours of Bale Cam".
