I like how on Supermax that it isn't going to be an origins story. I don't think the Joker should be in there because the Joker is always in Arkham and actually, isn't the Riddler in there usually too? Who have they casted so far for the Green Arrow?

They havent cast anyone. The movie hasnt gone forward with production yet.

Why are all the special editions DVD?

Because WB knows there are enough looney Batman fans who will buy every version. Once BD picks up a bit more marketshare, they'll start releasing superfluous versions for that, too.

I found this to be funny.

Edit: I think I like this one even better

Wut?

Damn I saw the movie 3 times and I didn't even catch that. What scene was it in?
yea nurse outfit, in plain view when he sits down after raising dent's bed. Nobody in your theater was even mildly amused when they saw it? All 3 of my theaters laughed their asses off.

I think Joker wearing the I believe in Dent button was an iconic scene.

So Awesome.

That entire scene in the hospital was iconic. I thought the scene with The Joker burning the cash was a great character statement, but the hospital scene represented what The Joker really is. A liar and a schemer.

Finally saw it a second time(in IMAX =)) today and it seemed nobody noticed it. First time I saw it (which was in a normal theater) everyone howled at it.

Some nice TDK posters onsale for ~$5 here.
Oh man thanks. With shipping came to $12 and thats pretty damn cheap. Now I'm thinking of buying one of their joker shirts but can't decide which one. None of them really seem that great to me but might go for this one.

This fucking guy does a pretty good Joker impression. He has about 5 up. Here's two:

Meh.

1) Too much lip-smacking. It should be every once in a while, not like blinking.
2) Too mellow. The joker is more animated and variant in his intensity. This is what kills it the most, because you can tell he is concentrating rather than crazy by how much he moderates volume, it shows a lack of confidence in the statements because it's faking not naturally coming out.
3) Too serious. This comes through in the rhythm of delivery. The Joker is more playful and casual.

Good deal on the posters, but I found the one sided Why So Serious one with the exact same dimensions at Walmart for $4.95. So maybe try that route to avoid shipping costs...

I have it framed over the tv now, looks pretty nice. :D

TDK is now the #2 grossing film of all-time, and looks to become the second movie ever to pass $500M in the next few weeks.

Hitting $500M would be impressive as all hell. As for Titanic, thats still many years away from being topped, so its best to leave it out of the discussion, haha.

Titanic will rpobably come down in the next 20 years, with inflation and all.

That, and The Dark Knight sequel.

I just rewatched Begins. Forgot how good it was. The sequel to TDK needs to focus on Batman again.
They need to ditch the shitty growling voice if they do. The man has all the technology in the world but using a voice changing device never occurred to the him...

I think more people would complain if he was doing a Scream voice. The growl's fine. It's raspy, but that doesn't really matter.

Yeah, most likely.
Because of Johnny Depp amirite

They just need to make the voice sound different and yet normal. The voice is completely laughable. He sounds like a kid trying to sound like a man. Also the way his face looks when he talks as batman, it's hilariously bad.

I honestly thought Bale/Batman was the weakest link in The Dark Knight (after Maggie that is).

I watched the Dark Knight for the first time today on the iMax.

I'm surprised at the Two Face cg. In the standard cinema experience it was certainly good, very good, but I thought I noticed the cg'nes of it all.
Looking at the iMax version that effect looked totally photo realistic. Every little deliciously burned crumb and whatnot, this could have been real for all I knew. Surprising though that it was more convincing in awesome-vision.

Another thing. This was my first visit to an iMax theatre in ten years. And yeah, it was really something. I'm surprised though that the (iMax) image is almost quadratic instead of widescreen. Looked really stunning though.

My goal is to one day play Chrono Trigger on Imax screen :D

Well, this is not the thread for the BO numbers, but it did 2.75M in Spain in the first weekend, compared to 5,6M for Hancock, 7.89 for Indy IV , 3.9M for Mummy 3 and 3.8M for Kung Fu Panda ... WTF Spain

I'm ashamed :(

He looks like a demented frog.
When I first saw the old BB batsuit in broad daylight (at the bank scene) during TDK, I immediately thought his head looked like a gorilla's:lol :lol

For those who have seen this in an IMAX theater, is there a place I should try to sit to get the best experience? I generally go for the center at a regular movie theater (though it's not a huge deal), and I'm wondering if that's the best or if somewhere else would be better (perhaps audio-wise?). Thanks.

I think that's Val Kilmer Batman though.

edit:

Well, to be honest, TDK was my first IMAX experience too, so I don't know know how much I truly know. But what I do know is, wherever you sit, it's going to be fanfuckingtastic. I was near the side, middle of the theater, and it rocked my socks off.

I dont know,. but after seeing American Psycho,. I cant take this batman guy serious anymore,. the scene with the raincoat and the axe,. is the dark night,. hmm everytime I look at his face that scene pops in my head LOL!:lol :lol

But the movie was really good tho,. respects to The Joker

As far back as you can and as close to center as possible. Get there early to get in line.

Front row, all the way to the left.

So I saw The Dark Knight again in Imax in a better seat this time. It was AWESOME. I was seriously tearing up a little bit at the end when Gordon is telling him son about Batman

Commisioner Gordon said:
"Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero...he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...a Dark Knight."

It seriously gave me chills. Also I noticed so many more little touches which tells you what is going to happen. You can tell Ramirez and the Bulloch clone were the dirty cops. Every time something was going to happen it shows a quick shot of Ramirez looking for where it is coming from or a look of guilt about what is about to happen.

That said my only knock on the film is that for all his bullshit about plans the Joker seemed to have the most intricate and well thought out plans of all. Anyone else have a problem with believing that any character could look so far in advance and know that, for instance, which turn off the underground route the police would turn at after miles underground?

Still I was even more blown away by Ledger's performance the 2nd time through, and thematically the film is still absolutely devastating. My friend who I brought, whose first viewing it was, was literally sweating in a cold theater because it was so intense. I am looking forward to a third viewing and owning this film on DVD.
