Yes, the aspect ration is going to change during the IMAX segments in the Blu-Ray version.

The widescreen versions of the DVD will present the film in a 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio, reproducing the standard theatrical experience of the film. For the Blu-ray Disc however, while most of the film will also be presented in the 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen ratio, the scenes that were specifically shot in IMAX format will be presented at 1.78:1, which will fill the frame and will thus recreate the IMAX experience at home. This is not via seamless branching (you can't turn it off).

Well, they did until Heathy left us. ;_; But in theory it should be easier because they undoubtedly had much of it planned ahead. I guess revisions would be all that were required.

Has Christopher Nolan signed on to direct a sequel to The Dark Knight? A story has been going around the interwebs this weekend, that originated from the latest issue of Production Weekly, which has Nolan listed as director, with a pre-production start date of February 2009. Before you get too excited, I’m not sure any contract has been signed YET.

Yes, Production Weekly is an industry publication, and not an internet rumor site. They usually gets their information direct from studio sources But I highly doubt that Warner Bros would have confirmed any of this production information with a third party, as it would steal the thunder from the studio’s eventual press release.

Also, I don’t think there is anyone that doesn’t expect Nolan to return for a third film. Warner Bros will do everything in their power to get the filmmaker back for at least one more, and that might also include giving the greenlight to one or two of Nolan’s less-marketable other projects. But for now, mark this one as unconfirmed but inevitable.

I really doubt they're gonna force Nolan directly into a tdk sequel with letting him do a pet project first.


I REALLY doubt they're going to have him make it while The Dark Knight is still in theatres (on re-release).

You forget that TDK was in Pre-Production a year before they actually started filming. Even if they go into Pre in Feb 09, they won't start filming until 2010.

Yet whether it’s that Chris Nolan has signed on, and will start pre-production early next year, or that Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman will play the villains, or that Cher (Cher!) is lining up to wear Catwoman’s claws, there’s one thing that each and every supposed scoop has in common, “Batman Begins” and “Dark Knight” storyman David Goyer told MTV News:

“It’s all B.S.,” he said. “ALL of it.”

That means, no, Nolan has not signed on (yet). No, there is no casting, let alone TALK, of villains, and, no, nobody is certain to return.

“Chris and I haven’t even talked about it. He quite understandably is taking a long, long vacation and wants to purge himself,” Goyer said.

Goyer means they haven’t talked about it “officially,” although, of course, he does admit – as he did when we chatted in July – that they’ve loosely bandied about themes and more.

“We have mused here and there [but] I mean Chris is pretty much a one movie at a time kind of guy,” Goyer said. “I wish I could tell you more. There really isn’t anything to tell.”

So continue to have fun with the speculation, the talk, the great debate fans have argued about back and forth in posts like the above on theme, and others. Goyer himself called the fan speculation “amusing.”

Just know there isn’t anything official. And when there is?

“If and when [Chris is] ready to talk - we’ll talk,” he promised.

Thats basically the Joker look they DID go with. The only real difference is Ledger's long, greasy hair, and an overall "dirtiness" to the character. Clean Ledger up and cut his hair, and this is pretty much what you get - which is strikingly similar to Caesar Romero and Jack Nicholson :lol

I like the art though.

Sorry I don’t listen to any other music really. I’m more of a movie fan. I love movies but unfortunately I haven’t seen a good one in quite a long time. The best performance I’ve seen most recently was Heath Ledger’s in Batman. The movie itself didn’t hold up but he was fantastic in it. I prefer older movies, things like Hellraiser. But if I have a CD in the car it’s usually something like Queen or Bach…
