The Dark Knight SPOILER THREAD

Are you feeling real pressure from the studio to do a 3rd film?
The studio is being very understanding about my process. The question of doing a third film is all down to story and do we have a story we really are excited about. David goyer and myself are exploring that right now.
 
completely shut out, not sure who the retarded monkey was screening questions. I hope it was not Chris Nolan himself.
 
We were not shut out. My question was the second or third asked.

edit: I asked Why so much more of Chicago was left on screen in TDK vs. Begins. They removed the L in the first movie but left in in this one, etc.

I thought it was pretty interesting. I was kinda hoping there would be a web cam and not just a chat box. It was pretty cool overall.

I hope nobody here is offended that their question didn't get answered. The guy must've had hundreds of them pouring in and had to pick one (or someone else did).

What was totally weird was I was thinking about how someone should use this to propose to their girlfriend and then a second later that guy did. That was freaky.
 
Nolan obviously hasn't seen Che yet, because the RED cameras have damn near the same resolution as TDK's IMAX shots do. He could shoot a whole IMAX movie in that floor-to-ceiling aspect ratio with the RED camera.

He said that he wanted to leave the city as-is to make the movie seem even more real.

I also asked why they changed Wayne Tower in this movie. He didn't answer my exact question but someone else did get through with basically the same one. To that he said he wanted to show how Fox was taking Wayne Enterprises in a more modern direction (I still can't believe they'd actually change buildings, that seems a bit drastic).
 
He said something about not answering who the five people that were killed in the story, but he would answer at a later date.
 
Did anyone else lose the chat when it was paused for that second pee break? It seemed to be taking to long to me so I quickly logged out and back in again and all of a sudden we were at the very end of Gordon's speech. I missed two or three questions.
 
I think there was a problem with the feed throughout the movie. I'd sometimes just get answers.

Whenever he answers that question, he better also have an answer of how Batman knows where Dent was with the schizo.

I only count 3 deaths. The cop + Marone and his driver. Did I miss anything?

I think there must be a Two-Face scene that was edited out of the movie. Chris must have decided to let the dialog stay as it was recorded and hope no one caught on :D

Dent also took out the guy who would have been Maroni's passenger.
 
What I found pretty disturbing that I didn't catch the first 5 times or whatever is when The Joker was talking about things going "all apart of the plan" and how when a gangbanger will get shot or a truck full of soldiers will die, etc., no one panics but he when says one little mayor will die, everyone loses their minds....

I found that eerily prophetic or whatever. It's really sad that HL died, like really really. But at the same time when he died everyone freaked out and jumped on the whole drug thing, but at the same time no one freaks out when the obscene number of America's youth die to overdose due to all the pharmaceutical drugs out there today. I mean they do, but it's not really a huge issue and plastered over the TV and internet...

Just really fucking sad. I didn't know the guy obviously, but it's just a tragedy. Not that it affects my enjoyment of the flick, it's one damn fine movie but at the same time, it's a bummer.
 
So, was it as embarassing as I thought it would be? By embarassing, I mean loads of ass-kissing, circle jerking, and dumb questions?

Somewhat. People asking questions about how they flipped the semi should have been shot, as that is an entire fucking segment of the special features. Other questions of that type were asked. But there were some good ones throughout.

I assumed it was: Wuertz, the bartender, Maroni, Maroni's driver, and you see one of Maroni's men get grabbed by Two-Face before he goes in the car.

It was what I thought it would be as it was the only reason I purchased the Blu Ray. I still had fun and he answered some good questions.

And Gordon knows about Wuertz and Maroni being dead...how? That's what always confused me.

I do love how Nolan answered that question. "I will answer that question someday. But not today." Total copout :lol

I'm sure he would've heard about it by the night-time siege on the high rise. Both of them were killed in broad daylight. The bartender's probably called in Wuertz and mentioned something about Dent or whatever he heard from the pisser.

Maroni is a trickier case. It's easy to know that he died & the driver died too, but let's just assume gordon put two and two together on pinning it on Dent.

And why would and when did Dent kill the Bartender? wtf people, 5 dead 2 of them cops. Either he assumes Ramirez is dead or he's counting one in the hospital (and the Joker didn't kill the other guy who was supposed to be guarding Dent). Third civilian is Dent or perhaps that third guy he pulled from the car (although you never really can say he killed him, perhaps just knocked him out.) but he'd be harder for Gordon to know that he is dead, since he's just some Maroni lackey.
