Anyone? Is there nobody here that can help a guy here? I got a beta access code by checking the uplay.com website, though Ubisoft didn't email me it. They said they did.

Anyway. I have an access code. Where in the blazes do I actually type it in to redeem it? If I log onto the beta website, the website just tells I \I already redeemed it. Which I haven't. This is a terrible process.

I read a quote yesterday that said the devs removed most AI from the DZ for the beta for PvP testing purposes. Makes sense but its gonna leave a bad impression on most because of it.

Last night I ended on 4K primary DPS and 4K HP. Still a lot of greens.

It sucks for more casual guys, but I could tell this was the case from a hour of being in it.

It's 100% stripped down. Very few if any of the chests in contaminated zones found, nothing underground, only 1 functioning contaminated area with unique baddies (far north west of the dark zone), and mostly empty streets with HIGH repop time on enemies.

Full game better fix all of this.

If it's the case and done so DZ would be more PvP focused devs really should have outlined that in beta patch notes. Isn't there also... rumor? that they have removed most of NPC's, side-quests and activities from PvE zone for reasons?

What it's also done is gotten me back into Destiny. I just bought TTK...

Are you on PC? If yes, download uplay.

Its amazing how remarkable the game was for the first few hours then it falls flat so quick due to lack of everything.


I know its a beta but I sure hope we are in for a surprise come launch because there is such a lack of variety that this game wont have any legs.

Anyone else not able to get voice chat working on PC? I think 'c' toggles the chat, but can't tell if it's working or not. My mic works and is configured properly in Windows. I also chose the correct mic in the audio settings in the game. Would be nice if there was a way to adjust and test mic volumes in the game.

Thanks being the one kind soul to reply. I felt like how I imagined that dark zone feels like for a bit. I'm on PS4 actually. Still no idea how to redeem my access code. When I log into the beta website it tells me |I've already redeemed the code. No idea how I would have done that. If I have, why can't I download the beta? Thanks again.

Man I'm in love with this beta :D it's just so damn fun. It also looks really good, one of the best looking games on PS4 IMO. The Anti Aliasing they're using is really good.

Can't wait to get home tonight to play some more.

The amount of content is my concern at this point. I'm going to wait on impressions and pick it up some months down the road if I hear good things. Mainly because there is a ton of shit I can't wait to play between now and the beginning of March. Not to mention that I'll likely still be playing those until Dark Souls 3 arrives.

The Calcareous whatever that High-end AR is called is a huge turd. The bloom on it makes it ridiculously hard to stay on target. I had to go back to my blue Black Market SMG.

Recorded some Dark Zone shenanigans from last night. Forgive me for some of the background noise, the Family Zone is no match for the Dark Zone :D

Played the alpha so I knew what to save my dz funds for. Other than that there isn't much left for me to do besides hunt rogues. Who drop loads of keys and dz funds.

Must've got about 30 keys in the last hour.

edit and bump: Just downloaded uplay on my laptop and tried using the 12 digit access key in the "active product" section. No dice. I could end up being the only person with an key for beta who never ends up getting in. Still nobody on ps4 here that can help?

I wanted to make a parallel to it with an AR from Destiny, but there is none with kick that bad before or after modding.

If you have your 12 digit code from Ubisoft, fire up your PS4 console and go to the store. Scroll right down through the left hand menu (past games, demos, sale, etc etc), towards the bottom is a 'REDEEM CODE' option. Hit that, tap your code into the box and it will automatically recognise the beta code and give you the option to download it.

think I'll pick this up when it hits in March. Gunplay is satisfying, haven't encountered any bullet-spongy enemies other than the elite versions, and seems there's a lot to do. It's open world, but it seems to be more grounded. I'm digging it.

Anybody playing on PC willing to share their experience with the Beta's frame-rate? Playing this on a 980 (haha, not a 970 I know), I find the game can hop to and fro between mid-30's and mid-60's at the worst of times. I'm averaging around 45-48FPS and I've made sure my drivers and whatnot are up to date.

I'm curious to know if this is perhaps an isolated incident - and I'm just unlucky...or stupid...or possibly both - or this is a common theme across PC.

Also, I have loved my time with the beta. Had no expectations, so I'm very surprised by how hooked I was.

Seems to have everything I would want: solid cover shooter, solid gunplay, interesting set up, story and environment, some amazingly atmospheric graphics, good loot system and progression, working netcode, rock solid frame rate, seamless between PvP and single player...the works. And the PvP stuff in the darkzones is great, love the risk/reward mechanic, having to extract loot is a great touch. There is a constant sense of paranoia that makes it all very interesting. It's also really simply to group up with randoms.

It's fun solo, even better as a group of 2 or 3 friends. Had some awesome times in the darkzones, helping people, ganking othrrs for loot, soaking up the atmsophere.

And the atmosphere! Visually I think it's amazing, some astonishing scenes. When an evening snowstorm rolls in it just feels so bleak. The weather and day/night cycle really changed how the games feels and plays.

All over this in March, day 1 for me.

Just as I read this a friend rang with the same advice. Worked fine. Thanks!

I can't believe they assumed that people would know this. All it would have taken was a simple line under the access code saying that I should redeem it in the PS store.

I'll be sure to spare you in the DZ for your sterling efforts. As for the others on here...:)

Oh..and while I'm ranting. Ready in 2 hours?! What? I thought my PS4 was supposed to be faster than my Xbone. Ah well.

Yup I'm on board. Gorgeous game, feels good to play, and performs without a hitch online. Most importantly the core loop is fun & satisfying, with only a fraction of the content available. For me it's clear there will be at least a full priced game's worth of entertainment here, even if it doesn't have the legs of an actual MMO.

So I tried the DZ this morning and all was quiet for a while,then I started seeing people,no one was attacking anybody,then an extract point light up and the fun started,saw a few Rogue guys being chased on the way,helped kill those,I had nothing to extract so far but just followed the crowd,a few extracts went well but at one point,there was like a lot of people waiting for the chopper,some rogues around and all,missed an invite to group because I noticed too late...anyway,got killed but some guy revived me and in the confusion I think I actually killed him after lol...sorry man,wherever you are ;)

So I actually enjoyed the DZ even though PvP is not my style usually,gained 5 DZ level pretty fast.
