Cool that the open beta leak was right, although it got the dates wrong (16 - 21st for xbone) - did they tighten it up after CB?

The raid stuff is weird, why would Ubi be so hush hush if there really is a raid. The only reason some people are a bit hesitant right now is the big question of whether end game is PVP only (dark zone) or if there is a seperate PVE end game. Releasing just a little "Yes, we can confirm there is a X man raid zone that will open 2 weeks after launch" would help juice pre order numbers, I would think.

Tom Clancy games don't play any one specific way. Unless you're really going to say that Endwar plays like Rainbow Six which plays like The Hunt for Red October which plays like Splinter Cell which plays like H.A.W.X.

The Clancy name as an IP simply means it's going to be a grounded premise with some kind of political intrigue and possibly espionage.

Hmm

At first I was very excited for the open beta, having missed out on the closed beta

Thinking about it though, I might just play it for a few seconds for the reward, and leave it. Wanna go into the full game a little cold, even though that runs the risk of me not liking the controls. On the other hand, if I was to love the beta that'd probably give me the push I need to get the Gold edition.

Is currently on Stage 1: Denial regarding the service game future
It is possible to reinstall the CB client to use for the OB.

Makes me think they didn't originally plan on it, but went with an open beta because of public interest.

Making it a shorter window will put more stress on their infrastructure which should mimic the launch environment.

As for endgame I hope they release more closer to launch.

I feel Massive is a very careful developer when it comes to communication.
They might not actually be sure if they can/should release a raid 2 weeks after launch so they don't want to come out and make promises.

And maybe they don't even want to say "yeah we got a raid we are working on for after launch" so that 1 week in people don't shout "OMG massive release the raid already how can it take so long to make something like this?? ded game even destiny had more content!"

The enemy faction trailer shows the hazmat suit at the end and it says "Increases your resistance to exotic damages". Hmmmm I thought it was just cosmetic, seems it isn't.

I think that might be associated with the backpack inlcuded with that set instead of the cosmetic items. All of the pre-order bonus sets come with a different backpack.

Microsoft's marketing announced open beta while closed beta was still going on and Ubi / Massive was promoting closed beta. I think their hand was forced and they had to try play announcement off in order to keep focus on closed beta. I wouldn't say they straight out lied, just threw out some misdirection.

All the suits got different perks. Or well, the backpack in the suit you get got the perk, the actual clothing does not give you any stats / perks.
