It could be, but thus far we have a reference to Shaun of the Dead in the game, graffiti with 'The dead will rise" or something like that, mention in the exclusive Vice documentary that zombies are great models to simulate the spread of viruses and now another mention of zombies. It doesn't seem that random to me anymore.

We should prepare fallout shelters while we can. If Division has zombies already ticked off Clancey fans will go nuclear.

Edit: To be clear, I don't want zombies or infected mutants in this

What about contaminated people with a slight case of the rage virus...not too over the top but just enough to know that they are infected and to stay away before you contaminate yourself. Agreed though. No zombie eating people shit. IT'S OLD AND REALLY PLAYED OUT.

Battalion of PMC soldiers defending rich left stuck into Manhattan while driving some own agenda. Not sure what else there really is to say at this point, we know nothing about their motives and goals. Other factions shouldn't really have game against LMB considering they are PMC with military grade gear.

I'm kinda torn on the subject. I think I would prefer it if the game stays as grounded as possible, but then again people are already fearing that raids won't offer enough options because the setting is too realistic.

Also there are of course zombie-like features of some real world diseases like for example Rabies, or certain brain parasites. So it's not impossible to create grounded zombies. But still it would be a pretty impressive feat to inject that in a believable manner into the Tom Clancy universe, but it wouldn't be impossible. The greatest obstacle to my mind would be that in a 'the dead will rise' scenario, most would have been decomposing for many days and even with an engineered virus it would be very unlikely for someone that had been dead for days to actually resurrect.

Man, imagine in the dark zone, all the bodies around, body bags in the subway etc, just coming to life and attacking all the players in a dark zone.

Has to be at night and when it's all foggy!

That would be insane.

It would be insane but it would be an entirely different game.

Also, probably a game that I probably wouldn't be interested in.

Indeed, if there would be something akin to zombies then I would prefer it to be separated from the regular game as a special mode or event (halloween comes to mind).

Does this game still support clans or w/e? If so, are we gonna have one for each of the consoles?

I know we normally do a google sheet or something in the official OT with gamertags and psn id's. Looking forward to playing you guys (most likely X1 purchase here mainly cause most of my friends seem to be going that route).

I am probably going to try the PC version to see if I will be missing anything (maybe the PS4 version as well if time permits).

Oh that's different. We'll see, I guess. Maybe even Tom Clancy will come from the grave himself because that's just bonkers.

Or maybe someone in the team really, really likes zombies.

If the main game ends up with zombies, it will be worse than what Naughty Dog pulled off with Uncharted 1 which made it 100x worse than it actually should.

I know it means nothing but if zombies is somewhere in the game (except for some easter egg missions) I would not buy this.

Just when I was thinking about getting the gold edition. Now I'm not sure I even want the game.

I'm pretty sure The Division will be smart with this epidemic. Ubi knows as well as us that full on zombies would be a major turn off to the crowd they are pushing to please here.

They could put two-headed mutant unicorn-monkeys in the game for all I care. I love the gameplay and mechanics and the inclusion of whatever type of enemy or creature they find fit for the story won't hinder that. God forbid a studio not follow your wish 100%.

I am ok with a side part of The Division being Zombies. DZZ, Dark Zombie Zone. Loads of Zombies, everyone is Rogue, zombies swarm when extraction is called.
