Found a Classic M44 Carbine sniper rifle, makes me feel like dude from Saving Private Ryan. Weapon mods are a lot of fun.

Loving everything about this thus far especially atmosphere, day / night cycles, and dynamic weather.

Audio is especially good too

So I got the Nvidia key, put it in Uplay (which is acting a fool right now), and nothing is showing up in the beta section of my account. Same for everyone else?

PC Version, by the way.

What's the resolution/FPS on the Xbox One? I've got friends who might get this for Xbox One, but if the graphics for Xbox One aren't that great I'd prefer to play it on my PC.

Damn hard having to wait until tomorrow as a PS4-owner, so jelly of you Xboners right now!.

Though its gonna be even harder after the weekend when I remember march 8 i more than a month away...:(

So playing this solo (no gold) am I right that it's just the save the doctor mission and try dark zone ?!besides the random ones you stumble across ?

I've yet to see the mission where you go through the subway and activate store holograms which was in the alpha.

Unless I'm missing something not totally obviously , the menus , map etc all take a fair bit of getting used too

Seems kind of boring solo based on just this 1 mission . If it's just 12 more missions of that size this will be a pretty quick solo experience . Will judge t more after I try the dark zone stuff .

Also seems pretty easy just wandering around the streets

Thanks!

Yeah same here, in the e-mail it says we'll get another code when the beta begins but in the OP says you can already pre-load the game.

Edit: Just got my activation e-mail.

Is it me or the beta look better then the alpha on Xbox one ??
It's not just you. I haven't touched the settings yet, and it looks significantly sharper than the Alpha. After reading impressions of the sharpen and CA settings, which weren't in the Alpha either, I thought I'd have to change those to make it look better, but nope. Night and day difference from the Alpha.

Watching Gothalions stream. Is it me or is the AI of enemies some of the dumbest I have ever seen. The low level thugs just stand there in the open and do nothing.

I turned off Chromatic aberration and put Sharpen Image at 100 % which I thought made the game look better overall. Nice to have these options on a console release.

Ohhh nice let me do that too. I feel like the Resolution have changed or the draw distance in the aphla it was more blurry it seem

Been trying to connect for 10 minutes for first time and keep getting some connection to server error "Mike 20240078" ...off to a great start Ubisoft

Same here. Someone on the Ubisoft forum was saying that if you are in the Dashboard Preview, that may be the issue. I am, and I can't connect to save my life.

Nvm, it just connected.

Yeah, the A.I doesn't look like nothing to write home about. I don't know if it was because they were in a group, but i saw at least 4 bad dudes just walking past Gothalion while he was standing right next to them.

Wow, they didn't fix the issues with the Preview Dashboard since the Alpha?

Why would you choose graphics over friends? Your choice though. I think it looks and runs fine, definitely not 720p.

This being my most anticipated title since the reveal, having to be at work after only getting 5 minutes in this morning has been tortuous.

Only 4 hours left in this shift to get home.

If it isn't 1080p then it does a damn fine job of looking like it. I'm still in a bit of shock over how much better this looks compared to the Alpha.

Only got to play 20 minutes or so before class, but I'm enjoying it so far. I like the lady who gives you missions on the radio, very grandmotheresque, a pretty humorous juxtaposition too.

That's something i forgot to mention before. The AI in the Division isn't too great. There are some odd ignores and repetitive funneling patterns. You can (at least in the alpha so likely the beta too) pick a good spot behind cover and effectively turn a section of a mission into duck hunt... popping out when you need to to make shots with the enemy simply respawning in waves running mostly the same routes to you in the back of the area. I'm hoping there will be some improvement and more unique enemies. Only ones we encountered in the alpha (so likely same in the beta) were similar humans all with basically the same movement and weapons (save for the cleaners who were pushovers with flame throwers).

Do any of the skills change the way you play, or is it still run and gun with a few extra tools?

The skill system kinda reminds me of a multitool, if your familiar with tools and etc.

Basically, you switch to something depending on the current situation, there's no be-all end-all skill that changes how you play substantially.

That's more based around the weapon your using IMO.

I dont know how much people got to really unlock in the Alpha (or yet in the current Beta) but my group and i attempted to use different abilities but we always just ended up using the weapons/grenades and the heal abilities. Nobody took the time to use anything else as it wasn't necessary. Maybe further in the game baddies/bosses will necessitate the use of some of the other abilities/talents... but early game could be played completely ignoring everything but the heal. None of the abilities were that "neat" either. The game played better when we treated it like a more of a strict shooter than a ability-based RPG.

I'm curious as i played a lot of the Alpha and will be tackling the Beta today/this weekend...

Do the weapons do more damage... are the enemies less bullet-spongy?! Please say it's the case.

I am really not sure and maybe I don't remember alpha correctly but I think normal is easier than in alpha and hard is still hard if played alone.
Enemies still take a lot of bullets but I don't mind it as this is more RPG style game with HP and weapon stats.
In fact I love gunplay in this game. It's more technical and tactical. It also sounds great.

The registration to the beta is temporarily offline. Please come back and try again soon.

Straight from the Division website currently. Not sure if other people are able to get through (I got through Step 3), but I have a strange feeling when I go to re-input my code later they are going to tell me my code has already been used....
