So I've been playing a little of The Division beta, and based on that I have three general questions that I hoped some of you could answer for me:

statspmscf.png

1) Apparently my card (Sapphire 280X Dual-X) got as hot as 91 degrees Celsius. I can't recall it ever getting this hot with Witcher 3, MGS 5, Crysis 3 etc. I've been told AMD cards tend to get hot in general, but isn't 91 degrees pushing it?

2) Basically a follow-up to the first question, despite being so hot, the fans were relatively silent (1430 RPM/25% according to the above image). Is that normal? If not, how can I manually change it?

3) What's the difference between the two above RAM numbers? I have 8GB 1600MHz, so I assume it's the left number (5682MB) it used during gameplay, but what's up with the 9.5GB RAM, what does that mean?

So I suddenly see people with red skulls and also IDs on top of their heads.
I guess this is the PvP feature?

But they were friendlies a few seconds ago and I didn't attack them.
Just observing from distance.

WEL-COME TO THE GANKING ZONE!!!! *danger zone rift*

Most pobably you're in DarkZone. Also those skull above the player means that he/she is Rogue agent. Killing them won't make you Rogue. However, If you shoot non-hostile agents, that will make you Rogue.

Hm, I still can get into the PC version. I tried changing my DNS to Google, validated the files ect.

I guess i'll keep playing the PS4 version, but I want to compare the graphics. :<

That is bad.

Use MSI afterburner to create a manual fan curve or to force a constant fan %. Your fans are not ramping up with higher utilisiation and heat (hence the 91 C temp). They should.

The one on the left is your system RAM usage in total (not necessarily committed to the game .exe). The one to the right of that is total virtual memory in-use.

Looks pretty bad on the PS4 :/

I honestly don't get this. Are you speaking from personally playing it, or from the screenshots. I was pretty happy with what I saw today on the PS4 as well as my time with the Xbox One version yesterday. Was impressed how both looked tbh

that means the went rouge for attacking another player, if you can take them down you get dark zone xp along with some dark zone currency, keep in mind that you will be marked aswell. its quite thrilling when six players are trying to gun you down and you escape

What are we seeing? Why is this special?
Typically all reflections you see in games are just cubemaps, they don't track characters or objects. In The Division a large amount if not all of the reflections track characters and objects, in an open world game no less.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
Sometimes when I open a bag(chest) there's a white pillar of light.. and a bag icon.. but I can't do anything with it? No button prompt, walking over it does nothing.. it just stays there.

Xbox One... anyone?

Normally it means you have the max amount of whatever your trying to pick up, which is normally a medkit or ammo.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
this is not making me happy to get home.....what the hell. Is it worse than the xbox one version?

Hope Digital Foundry has a really good article for this game later today or tomorrow.
Stop reading this topic and make your own judgement when you get home than.

Or wait for the Digital Foundry video.

Anyone else run into an issue on the PC where it will basically run 60 FPS and then stop for a split second then continue?

Also, that bag icon, I got it as well.

I remember when people said this about Just Cause 3... Look how that turned out. I'm sure the ps4 version looks great.

Wonder if they played the hospital mission on hard. It's low level content at the moment. The challenging aspects available is the hard mission and the dark zone.

Have you guys played the mission on hard mode yet? Come back and say the AI is dumb and easy after playing that.

Controls might feel clunky but did they do any customizing?

Ubi is clearly not letting us experience the full potential of the class and specialities quite yet. I really truly believe this game will feel much different at higher/more difficulty combat.

I've played Xbox alpha, beta, PS4 beta, and pc Beta. PS4 beta looks good. It's not mind blowing but it's much better than what the minority here have said.

It looks amazing.

I don't get the hate on the graphics...

This doesn't look "amazing"

So is this game very heavy on the cpu?
Im getting random fps jumps from 50-70 while running down the street on medium-high settings @1080p on a 2500k@4,3 and a 390 nitro.

Seriously. I got my ass ROCKED doing that last night with a full party.

I love how we'll be able to redo missions on hard mode for different loot.

The fact that it has this much control customization and also it even has a LEFT HANDED key binding default is fucking astonishing and awesome for a beta. Holy shit...

I dont know what people are seeing, but the graphics do not look good on this game at all. Maybe the lighting in some places but overall the graphics are underwhelming.

First impressions were, really not impressed by the visuals. But the shooting seems alright. Gonna be partying up later so I'll see how the "play with friends" adds to the experience.

In the Dark Zone you can kill both the White-named players AND the Red Named(Rogues)?
You can kill ANY player you feel like killing and you can even kill the dogs in the game for some XP if you fancy that.

Brutal performance. You seem to be heavily CPU limited. This may be a game that favours HT and as many threads as possible. 100% per core is wicked-awesome.

CPU load very rarely drops below 90% on any of the cores, most of the time 95-100% for every core. Looks kinda scary because not used to CPU heavy games, but same time it's awesome and doesn't cause game to stutter or lag.

Also memory usage seemed to hover around same numbers no matter of area in the map [PvE and DZ], ~5GB VRAM & ~8GB RAM.

FPS is mostly 50+, but noticed dips as low as 35-ish for short periods of time. Game keeps smooth gameplay flow.

Played it a little bit on PC, game is pretty nice I must admit, but my GPU is going mad, when having almost everything on Ultra.
Using an MSI GTX 980Ti. Playing at 1080p@60fps. Lot of customization in this game, that is nice actually.
