I love how this has matchmaking! However the environment of NYC, while great to go from area to area if you're familiar with the city just seems dull. I wish more was going on - it seems empty. UI is also a plus to me. The map is well done.

I just... don't know if I want to make a purchase and romp through NYC again after so many gens of doing so. Maybe the Dark Zone will change my mind when I get there?

Don't pass gaas, it is your Destiny!
I'm a bit confused.. How do you play this game? Do I randomly walk around looking for missions going on or do I have to sign up for a mission at a specific place?

There are some boards at safe zones that populate map with side missions and places of intrest. Main missions just come after u beat last one, they stay on map to play again if u want on harder difficulty. I've played th 1st mission duo with team mate 6 times so far for that sweet blue loots!

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
What's the level cap on this, 9?

Also, I really need people to play the DZ with, it is not that fun solo. I was able to airlift a shitty rifle out that I took from a Rogue Agent, right as he killed me.

Did you go to the first safe zone where you have to help get the different parts back up online (the medical section, tech section, etc.)? At that point it kind of explains the structure to you. There are also randomly generated side-missions that you can go take on the map (at least I think they're randomly generated).

there are two message board things in the starting main social area, inspect them and it will populate things to do on your map.

Went to the Dark Zone for the first time. Came across two players who were just running past me. Wonder why they were running. Learned why when I saw someone killed another player and that person began shooting at me. After some dodging around, the bullets stopped. From my spot, I watched the rogue player run after the two that ran past me earlier, completely ignoring me. I just kept going about my business. Wasn't planning on getting between them and their prey.

I didn't expect a lot, but I really liked what I played earlier. My only real disappointment was that the dark zone seemed pretty empty. I ran around for quite a bit without seeing anyone or any npcs (maybe a group was running around killing them all?). I did eventually get some loot and extract it and found some other players, but I hope it is a little more active in the future. Maybe I just had bad luck.

Other than that I can't wait to get back in. I liked base Destiny so it makes sense that I would like this a lot, I just hope it doesn't have the content problems Destiny did.

Dammit. For some reason my old uplay wasn't valid anymore. It wasn't connecting to service. It even patched. I downloaded uplay all over again and voila, it's working. I see Division Beta in my games. Downloading now. Sigh. Guess I'll play it tomorrow.

So I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing in the DarkZone, except apparently dying to roaming groups of 4 player "Death Squads". Lol!

Anyone on PS4 want to group up on some DarkZone tonight? PSN: Carolina-Blue , send me an invite if you do.

I don't have a PC but if I did I would have to get this game there. Dual monitoring with this game would be fun. This game just seems like it could end up being chill in the Dark Zone with a group and just watch videos on the other monitor.

So I just tried to do the one story mission on hard mode... it was insane. The mobs hit super hard. I got to the end with a matchmade party, but we literally just wiped on the last wave for atleast an hour. Group broke up after that. I found the difficulty a challenge, and it was cool, but I felt very undergeared and underleveled (went in at Lv 6).

I'd love to give it another try later.

If anyone would like to play with me on PS4, my PSN name is Azys_. Would love to experience more multiplayer.

Anyone on PS4 want to Dark Zone later? I am level 8 with some shitty gameplay skills, haha.

Username is my tag...will probably be back online in 30 or so.

This game's performance is so odd. For the first 15 minutes, it fluctuates between 45-60 fps. Then suddenly, randomly it kicks up to 65-80 fps, and never dips below that.

make sure the pudding isn't too soggy but that just ruins everything
Dark zone completely saves this game. And even then by a close margin.
After a few hours it falls off. People realize there's actually nothing to fucking do besides shoot at eachother, and the pvp is pretty shitty tbh.

There's literally 1 story mission and the low level zones available. If the full game builds on this, should be fun.

If you hit the DZ level 12 there are some nasty weapons in the safe house for sale....

I'm level 9 spent the last 20 minutes sitting a few rooftops over from a roof extraction sniping rogues and enemy spawns when suddenly an alert sounds and i'm completely surrounded by fresh spawned enemies including 2 right around me haha insta-death.

Going to pick this up, $48 and a $10 GC at Best Buy it's a no brainer even if it does get old fast.

Really wish npcs and players killed in the dark zone gave you orange exp, so I could just stay in the dark zone. Found the pve pretty tepid, but running in the dark zone with friends, getting into desperate extractions and tense, temporary truces that end in gunfire was pretty fun. Keeping my preorder just for the dz.

It was what GTA Online always felt like it was missing...open map pvp shenanigans, but with high stakes to give some reason to shoot at each other.

There's only 10 story missions total and if the core gameplay is this boring, more zones probably aren't going to help that much.

Not saying some people wont enjoy it - but I imagine a lot will get bored quickly

DZ is shit without atleast one other person. Absolute shit. If you could keep gear without air lifting it out that would be something but the way it works now you are gank meat playing solo.

I don't have any trouble finding stuff to kill. There is basically one big spawn near almost each of the landmarks. I just run a route between them.

Thing is, right now you've got everybody piled into a tiny part of the dark zone and you've probably got fairly high concurrent player numbers because of the short beta.

On top of that if somebody else kills the PvE stuff and gets the loot/money you kill them and get the loot/money. Either way the zone is producing, you just have to find your niche in the food chain. :p

If Destiny lasted as long as it has, this should be an all time classic in terms of how-long-people-play.

Got home not long ago and gave the PC version a spin and damn does it look really good. I played 4-5 hours of the Xbox One version and thought it looked really good. I also played the Alpha and definitely the resolution has been improved on the Xbox One. I thought the game looked kind of meh in the Alpha, but the Beta is so much better.

However at 4k and all settings at max the game on the PC is just breathtaking. I am only getting 30fps since SLI is not working all that great with the game, but with full settings to max except the AA settings it looks just fantastic. I am running 2xTitan X Cards and a I73930k OC to 4.8. I hope they work on the drivers for release, it would be great to get smooth 60fps at 4k with max settings.

Back to the console version, it still is impressive and surprised that it runs and looks as good as it does. I may double dip and get it on console and PC.
