The E3 '08 Sony Prediction and Discussion Thread

God's of war is a cg teaser only, about :30sec long. Don't remember any other specifics.

Resistane2-on screen game play. and other in game clips.

InFamous- game play clip.

Eden. only seen teaser clip, no discussion yet.

LittlBigPlanet- only clips so far.

Flower- Clips.

DC Universe- clip. this game looks cool!

Killzone2- only seen a :30 sec clip with CG and in game play. Killer graphics!

Star wars Force- Clip. Man, never seen a 7' Vader!

MAG Massive Action Game- Man, I can't believe they kept this under wraps. 256 online players, 8 man squads, Squads lead by leaders based on rank and game play. Killer trailer. visualize COD4 x10

Now they may have game play for most or some of these, they just haven't run thru it all yet. and there's 12 PS3's on set. So something is getting played.

Going to the 80g system for a price point of $399

PSP- couple of the cool^ games for this format. will release on Silver PSP with Rachet and Clank in Oct. for $199

PS3 Online agreements with Google, Weather channel and Sony Pictures and others for content.

Sorry, I can't remember which ones NOW have online multiplayer other then the obvious.

Not that this is a competition and I don't want to use the word loose, but is the general feeling that Tuesday's press event is the biggest of the three since Sony seemingly has the most content and the most to prove?

That's kind how I feel. I'll be some what disappointed if they don't annouce a date for HOME anyway.
 
Now assuming that list is real (Which my pessimism leads me to believe it isn't) I assume that "MAG" is supposed to be the new Zipper game?

If I had a TV in my bedroom I would buy another :lol

I have a 52" LCD in the living room, plus the bedroom isn't for watching TV's so thats why I dont have one :lol

Replacement SKU for the 40gig as mentioned to be discontinued at Wal-Mart? Sounds like they are taking the 40gig SKU and throwing the 80gig with it. Question is what happens with BC from here. 1 SKU from here on out or a larger HDD SKU to come?

The new 40GB SKU is likely the same thing just with a DS3. Might explain why my store hasn't been restocked in a while.
The 80GB is here to stay through at least the holiday.

That's a good argument as to why they won't drop it... the new 80GB units have only been out for a month...

well the MGS ones yes, but they was in MIA for a while.

but yeah, wouldn't make sense to drop it now especially since they are selling out as is but at $399 man they would sell like hotcakes.

No one's talking about that. It would be a really stupid idea too. The current 80GB is selling well because of b/c.

We've been getting them in every week, but they sell out very quickly.

It would be stupid and very confusing. But I'm talking about two different 80 GB SKUs. One with BC and one without. One with MGS4 and one without.

This makes the list seem suspect.

Still, if true, and that list is all they show? That would be epic fail IMHO. There's hardly anything there we haven't already seen.

This list sounds plausible to me. Only one megaton announcement and the rest of the conference focusing on soon to be released awesome lineup.

I think this guy is telling the truth.

Only one new announcement is FAIL.....No Team ICO, FF13, or White Knight is FAIL..

I bet the Zipper game will just be ridiculous though.
