I just looked it up, and last year they announced SO much stuff at the event!

They announced GT5P, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Metal Gear Online, along with new FFXIII trailers.

I'm really hyped for next week now. It's basically SCEI's answer to E3, since they presumably didn't feel like making their way across the Pacific. ^^

It seems like it'd be the best place to show off TRICO and a bunch of new JRPGs.

I remember last year was decidedly average for Sony, then they completely blew everyone away at the Playstation Premiere event the next week.

I seem to recall us finding out about it the day of last year. It was all real sudden.

There were NO heads up last year. Other than Ducky telling everyone to expect japanese games in a japanese game conference.

They have to have one this year. E3 just demonstrated their 08 lineup for US. They need to do the same for japan. I'm sure Ryu Ga Gotoku 3 will show up there. Hopefully we'll see more RPGs too.

Square stuffs will be MIA until August 2nd

I doubt it'll make much difference to the Japanese audience, since it's PS3 exclusive in Japan.
