The Elder Scrolls 6’s Main Plot May Already Have Been Spoiled

The Elder Scrolls 6 may be years away from release, but some speculation reveals that the plot for the game may have been hiding in plain sight.

Fans have eagerly awaited The Elder Scrolls 6 for over a decade, and it seems that it is still a few years away. Despite it still being far off and with few details being provided aside from the teaser trailer, fans still continue to speculate as what the game might include. It is likely that many of the stories found in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will continue in the next installment.

But after nearly 11 years of speculation, it'd be disingenuous to say that fans haven't found much that could pertain to The Elder Scrolls 6. After all, all the time spent sleuthing around was bound to reveal something. And that something may just so happen to be a valid prediction of the main plot for The Elder Scrolls 6.

This would not be the first time that the plot of a future The Elder Scrolls game would be spoiled by its predecessor. It has actually happened multiple times, most notably in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. In Morrowind, an NPC named Eno Romari directly predicts that the Daedra will invade Tamriel, which is a nod to Oblivion's main plot. In Oblivion, a Blades faction member named Cyrus claims that they will bide their time "until the next Dragonborn arises." While more subtle than the Morrowind prediction, it still serves the same purpose by predicting the rise of the Dragonborn in Skyrim. For that reason, it is very likely that Skyrim continued this trend in predicting The Elder Scrolls 6's next antagonist.

In the three most recent mainline installments to The Elder Scrolls franchise, there has been a book called "Mysterious Akavir." While the author is unknown, it provides details about The Elder Scrolls' Akavir continent, a place that has yet to be shown in any game. It details many of the races found on the continent, such as the Tsaesci, who are known for coming to Tamriel in search of a Dragonborn and later becoming the Blades. There's even a race of monkey people named the Tang Mo, which may have some relation to Tamriel's Imga race. However, the race that possesses the largest threat to Tamriel are the Ka Po'Tun, who belong to the "Tiger-Dragon Empire."

Despite the inclusion of "dragon" in the name of their empire, they possess no actual dragons, as they have been all wiped out on Akavir according to Mysterious Akavir. In fact, the Ka Po'Tun are just a race of tiger humanoids, somewhat similar to the khajiit. However, they're led by an individual named Tosh Raka, who might as well be a dragon himself. Tosh Raka is the emperor of the Ka Po'Tun, and he is worshiped like a god for his ability to transform into a dragon. More importantly, he has sworn that once he gets rid of the Tsaesci in Akavir, he wants to invade the continent of Tamriel. This means The Elder Scrolls 6 could see a new contient and an Akaviri invasion.

It would make a lot of sense for The Elder Scrolls 6 to involve Akavir, as Bethesda has seemingly wanted to do this since Skyrim. In a 2019 Pax East interview, Todd Howard claimed that one of the scrapped plots for Skyrim involved one of The Elder Scrolls' greatest emperors named Uriel Septim the Fifth, who was thought to have died in Akavir. He would have brought dragons from Akavir to help retake his empire. It is likely this idea was revisited for the development The Elder Scrolls 6, and possibly even be used.

This would also explain why The Elder Scrolls 6's teaser trailer's location has been difficult to identify. It may not even be in Tamriel itself, but in fact in Akavir. This would be a surprisingly interesting way to return to the franchise through a mainline game after over a decade.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I've played three of those games plus some expansions and I still have 0 clue about what an Elder Scroll might or might not be.

And I couldn't care less. I'm here for the world and sidequests, main quests in Bethesda games are usually shit tier stuff.

"The Elder Scrolls are artifacts of unknown origin and quantity, being simultaneously archives of historic, past and future events. They often tell of events that require a Hero to resolve them, although the Scrolls themselves do not select such individuals. They are also known as the "Aedric Prophecies," suggesting that they may have been created by the Aedra, although this designation may be inaccurate.Without technological aid, Elder Scrolls cannot be read without extreme side-effects, among which are blindness and insanity."

Pretend I'm whispering this to you in my most pretentious VaatiVidya voice.

Nice, that's the first game with one, correct? Ever since coming under Microsoft, Bethesda has been adding one killer feature to their games after the other.

Thank you Phil!

That makes no sense, it would be a prequel then? Since Uriel Septim VII is the emperor at the beginning of Oblivion, around 100 years after Uriel V died.
So we could have a plot about an immortal Septim trying to reclaim the Septim empire in Tamriel?
Well if he’s not dead there’s nothing to reclaim as he would still be the Emperor of Tamriel.

Do you think it'll top the magnificent Skyrim plot of evil dragon wants to destroy the world because of reasons, dies?

So? Oblivion's is "Evil is escaping these weird Demon Portals, stop them" and Skyrims is "Evil Dragon has come back to life for some reason, kill it again"

I'm not playing these games for its award winning Main Plot's, but the side stuff and adventures

It's the usual "we have to save the world" kind of narrative. I'm pretty sure most people play Elder Scrolls games for the Dark Brotherhood or other side factions anyway.

I've seen a lot of shitty formatted posts on this forum, but this one so far takes the cake in 2023.

Also, never cared for plot in Bethesda titles, I just like fucking around in their games.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
There's a world ending threat.
You are the chosen one who can prevent it.

That's the gist of it, i assume.

For anyone copying and pasting on Windows or Mac, paste into a notepad first, then copy again from that notepad and paste here.

If windows, you can also use the right click menu to paste the text without the formatting.

What a bunch of edgelords. This is mainly speculation about the location not the actual plot even if the title says so.
Also, for all it’s potato head stiff characters, the plot in some Oblivion and Morrowind side quests are top notch.

I can't barelly read any shit here, but even whats barelly readable clearly states it's a speculation.

That's fine, nobody plays those games for the main storyline, anyway.

Most of the core fanbase does, and there's not only online discussion and dedicated sites, but fan made books, cloth maps. illustrative chronology, and more.

Many find it appealing, even though it's not really that good, though better than FF at least.

That's the 7th you dunce, OP's article talks about Uriel V, and yes he was an ambitious conqueror.

For OP: We are not leaving Tamriel, the "Towers" haven't all been deactivated yet and LANDFALL hasn't happened.

The main part was almost barely the point of Skyrim, it's more the dicking around in a big interconnected world and pseudorandom things happening

Any word on Flying mounts? I want the Dragon with heated/ventilated leather seats.

I know asking Bethesda for things that fly is difficult, Starfield will just be a cutscene from what I understand then transition to somesorta space cockpit view.
