The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
Are barrels/containers etc different for each person? or is it first come first served?

Also, when do they reset?

Back to Day 1 problems for me. Got d/c and getting Connection Failed, server has timed out after waiting a bit in queue.

I wish ore and herbs glowed at least. I'm not looking at every inch of a field for stuff to pick up. Which means I'm not going to craft anything. :/

You can commit skill points so they do glow. You can do it at 3 levels. Each level the glow is visible at a farther distance, So at level 1 it will glow when you are close, at Level 3 it will glow from a pretty good distance.

That is part of the crafting profession, they are not going to put lights and a sign saying "wood is here". If you want to find crafting materials, you have to invest you skill points to make it easier or not invest and make it harder. On one of my PC characters, I had it maxed out at level 3 for Wood, Ore, Provisioning, Cloth and Rune Stones, it was funny to see shit glowing almost everywhere and just collecting stuff like a mad man.

Would investing points in thieving/crafting skills mean that I was weaker for dungeons/raids and be constantly kicked out?

Or is the community not as bad as wow and DPS isn't as big a deal?

There are enough points to go around, you'll be fine. My Nightblade is all stealthy/crafty and still has all the dps stuff too.

I was playing, but when servers are acting up and people can't get in, the game starts to bug out and NPC's are invisible. So I exited, and now haven't been able to get back in.

People keep saying the game feels like a single player TES game. I only played it in the original PC beta long ago, but at the time it felt like a poorly made WOW copy with some elder scrolls type art.

How much of this has changed or improved from then to now? One of the defining things about a TES/FO3+ experience is the tactile nature of the world. You can push, pull, pick up, drop -- Physics. That's part of it. And that's nojt in the game.

Does it really feel like TES?

After not being able to play yesterday and rerolling today, I've been waiting for my one second queue for like an hour. I know that launch and whatever but goddamn.

This shit with the queue is annoying. I got home early for once and I am still sitting in a fucking queue! I got in once then I got dumped. I paid my money for this shit, I should be able to use it!

Feels like TES to me, but I felt that way when it was released on PC. Being able to pick up and move plates around was never a reason I played Bethesda games for, though. If that's what make them special to you it's still going to be disappointing to you even though it's been much improved since PC release.

How are the servers holding up?

They are getting slammed left and right. There are just a ton of people trying to get in which is causing very long que times. There is also lag from having so many players in one spot. If you travel to a higher level zone where there are not that many people game is smooth as butter.

After waiting for one hour in queue I've been loading for the past 15 minutes. I fully expect this to disappoint me.

I wouldn't mind waiting if it actually worked. SW:TOR launch queues were horrible but you could actually get in and play, provided you did the waiting. And you got a reasonably accurate estimate of how long that would take.

This is the worst of all worlds.

For solo questing? Or just to fucking be able to do something with it other than watch a stupid screen with smoke.
