I got this game on Friday and was able to get a couple of good hours in. After the pretty rough prison area (it was pretty crap), the game gets real good when you're let out into the world.

Money seems really difficult to obtain, and I'm trying to earn myself a Destruction staff for my sorcerer to use. Any tips?

1. If you're in Daggerfall, go to the 2 boats side by side in your map, steal everything from crates/boxes/drawers, etc that says "TREASURE" in the item description.

2. Go to the Outlaw's Refuge in your map, it should be pretty close. Find the person that has "FENCE" in their title and sell it to them.

3. You can sell 50 items per day, if you do it for 2-3 straight days you can upgrade it so you can sell 110 items per day to the "FENCE".

4. Rinse and repeat. I did this to upgrade my bags first, and used an alt to upgrade my bank slots so I can carry more items for questing, etc.

Do you really need to buy a staff? I'm only playing a dumb brute of a warrior but I'm finding no shortage of weapons as loot and they tend to be at least as good as anything I can make and I'm working on the smithing. I even got a purple staff today from a bloody skeever corpse. Not that I have any use for it. I just shoved it in the bank for later.

Yeah I'm level 49 and I've never paid for weapons or armor in the game. You end up getting a lot of good stuff from drops, loot, and quest rewards.

Already started chatting

But now I see, those notifications become annoying.

I guess we should only post when we want to group up or need help with something to cut down all the chatter.

Can I get an invite? Already went thru 4 failed dungeon groups. -_-

You can buy the RIngs of Mara to marry another player from the Crown Store. When you two are playing at the same time (not necessarily on the same group), you both get bonus XP. Those who bought the Imperial Edition got this ring for free.

Danke. Good info.

Speaking of marriage.

Every time I play I never fail to come across an oversized bearded warrior wearing a wedding dress.

Has anyone ever had the Dungeon Finder que, straight up Not let you que before? Have my role, and dungeon selected and it won't let me join a que. Maybe there's too many people in it?

Apparently you get a lot more XP from killing enemies if you are grouped with at least one other person.

I find this as well. Solo killing is much slower xp gain than killing the same quantity of enemies with a partner. Hard to quantify with no text box but its definitely faster. No maras or anything.

So, is it down on PS4 for anyone else? It times out when trying to pull my characters. Oh, and I just signed up for ESO Plus a few hours ago, so maybe this is my first paid benefit?

I was just booted from the gameworld and I can;t login. PSN is working.

anyone else?

OK, not just me then.

Fabulous

I've never once bought armor or a weapon. Just go steal a weapon if you really need one. And gold is pretty easy once you get up in level. I have something like 35k at lvl 37.

Something's wrong with the servers tonight (ps4). I was booted several times with a message saying that I sent too many messages, even though I didn't send any messages. Frustrating.

I tried logging in on Xbox about an hour ago and timed out. =(

Me and my friend were really looking forward to playing tonight. =/

Geez. I've been waiting to play this for 3 hours now. What's with the Xbone and installing/updating games? It's been on 90% for about 30mins. I just want to play!!!!

Just three manned a bunch of dungeons with my cousins. The dungeon and loot scaling to your level is pretty awesome. We were level 24 at the time and I assumed since Banished Cells was unlocked much earlier that it wouldn't really be worth doing but I was wrong. Got some nice level 24 blues and great exp.

Absolutely love this game. First MMO in a long time that has me forgetting what time it is. I love leveling up and getting skill points, progressing your character and building him is addicting. That feeling of really building my character myself was something I was missing in FFXIV so I'm glad to be getting that here.

Kinda wish they had ffxiv queue system in place once your group is ready from group finder (you get 30seconds or so to teleport to the dungeon or go to the back of the queue).

Been playing 4-5 hours now. My initial impression is that this game is pretty ugly. And the animations are really dated. Still I'm having a decent time.
The game won't win any awards for it's visuals (more AF ffs!) but I think it's far from ugly. And having been present for the midnight launch, walking around town with over 300 people crowding the screen, I appreciate the focus on performance. FPS feels rock solid. Glad you're enjoying it, though.

A few questions, mainly a pve guy, maybe if im still into the game ill do some pvp when im max level or something, werewolf or vampire?

I want to sell my stolen crap, where is the refugee camp? Does it have an icon or something, if so what does it look like?

I want a god damn horse already, movement speed is too damn slow, about a week playing and im a little shy from 5k, what's a quick way to farm gold?

Where and how do I increase my inventory without using real life money if possible?

And lastly, can you buy a house or something to store stuff you dont want to throw away?

Idk how good vampires are since I went werewolf and it's really fun playing as one. Really strong and runs faster. Most of its skills are stamina based. It has a weakness to poison though but that seems better to me than a vampire's weakness to fire since I'm always getting hit with fire spells. Poison doesn't seem as common. Also if play PvP both get destroyed by fighter's guild skills.

The refuge is near the northern docks if you're in Daggerfall.

Steal items labled as treasure and sell them at the refuge. Fastest way to make money. Dre posted a really good explanation a few pages back.

There are merchants in cities who sell pack upgrades.

Unfortunately you can't buy a house but you can store stuff in the bank. It's marked as a treasure chest on your map.

Ok cool dont care much for having a house, I just want to store my shit. Thanks, I want to go vamp but its probably a bad idea since as you said, there are a lot of fire spells/atta ks.

Honestly, what is the fastest way to level in this game? I'm at a point where every quest is 2-3 levels higher than my character at times, and the xp gains are kind of shitty. I know I need to get in dungeons, should I just hang out outside of them?

Is there a listing of dungeons and level requirements? I only did that spindle one

Would love a werewolf bite when I'm level appropriate

You don't want it filled with valuable stuff really, right now people are using the guild banks to just free up inventory space in their own bags

Oh, I was putting decent items in there that I didn't need. I assumed that is what it was for, but found mostly worms and level 1 magika regen potions.

I'm rapidly losing interest in this game. Maybe because it's an MMO or maybe because I'm playing alone but I feel like I'm doing so much for so little reward. I'm only level 8 and I haven't left the three starting DC zones yet but I'm so tired of all of these pointless little side quests. It feels like boring filler to the point where I'd rather be running around the Hinterlands all day.

I'm going to keep trying for a bit though.

You might want to consider skipping quests that aren't part of quest threads resulting in skill points.

I started off doing everything and was fed up by my 30s due to all the terrible quests and time-wasting fetching.

I'm enjoying it much more now that I'm just focusing on skill points, skyshards, lore books, world bosses, delves and so forth. If I fall a little short level-wise to move onto the next zone, then I just grind to close the gap.

How can I tell what's what when it comes to quests?
