On ps4 I can't see my friend on ps4 but we are both on north america servers. I'm standing in same spot on map and can't see each other. How can I fix this?

Go to your friends list in game and select Travel to Player. You'll spawn at the nearest shrine but you'll be in the same server instance.

Looking to see if a Gaf Guild will breath new life into this game. It seems somewhat lonely without text chat.

I'm Chaos-Mandatory on PSN.

I assume the PC thread is dead?

I'm pulling the trigger on this, might convince my GF to play if it's any good. I love Elder Scrolls but have misgivings about MMOs, yet I'm willing to give it a shot.

Any tips you'd give to someone new to both TESO and MMOs in general? I intend on playing this game as closely to a single-player TES title as possible.

You can play 80% of the content by yourself. I've been enjoying the story at my own pace since launch day on console and I'm loving it.

I've just started this this week on PS4, the only other MMO i've played is WoW a very long time ago and that was ok but i've found this to be far more single player friendly, the quests seem to have a story too which is good, i've turned the volume off on the voice chat too as I don't really want to be hearing other people yapping away!

From my initial thoughts I would say give it a go, keep in mind there is a 15gb download on the PS4 that you need to do when you initially fire the game up.

It seems like all templers I come across are healers. Is that really the best way to spec them? I am sitting on 4 skill points (lvl 10) and I have no idea what to do.

All templars have healing in their skill tree, but I don't think that has to be the focus.

My brother is running a dual destruction staff templar, which is a reasonably popular style as far as I can tell, and that seems to be going well.

I'm lvl27 and have both destruction and restoration running (at lvl15 you can have 2 different weapon skill slots)

Majority of the time I am running restoration and have 3 destruction powers running within that weapon slot:
Aedric - Puncturing Strike (Morphed to Sweep)
Dawns Wraith - Sun Fire (Morphed to Vampires Bane)
Dawns Wraith - Solar Flair (Morphed to Barrage)
All other skills are from Restoration Wraith and ultimate is Rite of Passage

My Destruction line i use the Nova ultimate

I'm finding i use the destruction line less especially with the buffs you can get from restoration such as the Restoring Aura (Morphed into Repentance)

So the Frost Mare is on the Crown Store.

3000 Crowns they want for it, that's £15 for a mount, I mean it is cool and all but that's a crazy price. Also, someone just went past on one, but it had armour and saddle bags, that doesn't seem to come with the horse, so is that from upgrading the mount?

I Need a werewolf bite tonight, anyone up for that, I'll create a weekly waiting list once I'm at the bite skill level

Please put me on the waiting list for a werewolf bite. I'm lvl 25 at the moment and should be in the level range to complete the quest chain by this weekend.

Edit: My PSN is Born2chill.

I think the saddlebags come from upgrading the capacity aspect of your character's riding skill. Not sure about armor. Maybe that's the stamina aspect.

The price is high. But it's standard MMO pricing.

So where do we continue the story quest? I heard that you get a quest around level 10 but I hit that last night and didn't see anything. Kind of just roaming around picking up quests since a lot seem to be way higher level.

Did you try going back to town? If I remember right, he appears to you there. I think it was right outside the front gates for me.

So can you buy the ability to play any race in any faction after you've already bought the game?

Yes. It's part of the Adventurer Pack in the Crown store.

I have yet to try! Just the beginning one? I've explored most of the first map and some of the area below it. Thanks.

I wanted a black dye and becoming a vampire seemed like the easiest way to go about it at this point in the game, so I wandered over to Riften and google images told me the locations where a "bloodfiend" would spawn.

What I didn't expect was the bajillion people at each location waiting for the monster to spawn. There was a ton, just standing around not doing anything, waiting. I assume you can make money off it somehow otherwise there's hundreds of people waiting to become a vampire at each location for each instance. I imagine unless you are hanging around at some stupid time of the morning when everyone on the server is asleep your unlikely to get bitten.

The easiest way to get a black dye is by deconstructing 100 items. You'll receive a darker black than you'd get out of vampirism (which is kinda dark blue-ish aswell).
I can also assure you that 99% of those waiting in specific spots are doing it completely wrong. They're not even standing close to the most common spawn points. I've encountered vampires 3 times over the course of 2 weeks in Bangkorai and was alone with them on 2 occasions and managed to lead a few other players to those spots so they could get infected too.
Be online at every night phase (happens 4 times a day), know the real spawning spots and be patient. Don't expect to wait a night and suddenly get bitten. Just keep in mind that most people don't know what they're doing.

Deconstructing any 100 items gets you black dye?

So Templars are mostly staff/spell rather than H2H?

That's exactly what I ended up doing after giving up on finding a bloodfiend, lol. Went into the campaign, took all the free items lying around, deconstructed them all, and got a perfectly good black dye the easy way.

As for where people are, I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't really know what they were doing.

Deconstructing any 100 items gets you black dye?

Yup, stolen or the ones you pick up that sell for nothing. 50 gets you a red, 100 a black, and 1000 a gold.

So every race can succeed in any given role, right?

I understand racial passives naturally make certain races better in some classes than others, but a few YT videos almost make it sound like you're useless if you don't have such and such passive in such and such role.

Haven't started yet but I plan to after work.

Do you use a hand to hand weapon? Or two staffs?

They just announced with Update 7 coming that they will be increasing the level cap to Vet 16. It sounds like Imperial City will be coming with this update too.

Small update about exp changes coming in Update 7

" From the time this goes live, it will require 15% less XP to gain a Veteran Rank. Just to recap the other points that Eric made, you will also gain 50% more experience when completing Veteran quests, you will gain double the experience in public dungeons, and 20% more experience in Craglorn."

it's so strange because Neverwinter and Warframes cash items are sub-$10 for major things. Neverwinter's items are very fairly priced.

I really like the cash model for eso. It should only be cosmetic stuff and the price you pay some will pay some won't but I'm still making progress and the cash model doesn't hinder that.
