I wanted a black dye and becoming a vampire seemed like the easiest way to go about it at this point in the game, so I wandered over to Riften and google images told me the locations where a "bloodfiend" would spawn.

What I didn't expect was the bajillion people at each location waiting for the monster to spawn. There was a ton, just standing around not doing anything, waiting. I assume you can make money off it somehow otherwise there's hundreds of people waiting to become a vampire at each location for each instance. I imagine unless you are hanging around at some stupid time of the morning when everyone on the server is asleep your unlikely to get bitten.

There are actually people who stand around there all day killing the spawns just to stop other players from getting bit so that they can try to rip them off. I go up there sometimes and offer the scammers stupid amounts of money just to fuck with them. The main cause of all this nonsense is that bites are restricted. I give out free werewolf bites when I can but I now have a waiting list of people purely because the devs decided to limit people to one bite every 7 days.

Well if they didn't... Everyone would be a werewolf right now lol

I don't plan on becoming a werewolf but reading shit like this makes me not want to play.

I managed to become a Vampire, a guy off Reddit was nice enough to infect me.

It's one of those things that is a pain but is fascinating to watch, it's like its own little economy going on for Werewolf and Vampire bites. They aren't easy to come by because the game is so new one console, and a number of people that have them band together so they can sell them and stop others getting them easily. Eventually this wont be so much of an issue as more people become Werewolves and Vampires each day it will become easier to get.

Is psn up for this?

I've been able to get on twice in the last few hours but keep having to log off and do real world things, and with the log out timer I can't just leave it on, even tried getting the camera spin going but it still kicked me.

Having no luck at the moment though.

It's tough leveling up provisioning
So many recipes, and u have boatloads of ingredients, yet none are enough for the recipes I have. Food is so damn vital in this game

US or EU?

Also is there a weekly reset on werewolf bites, or a particular day

Are people really camping the werewolf zones as we speak? Or can someone port me there.

When you become a Werewolf or Vampire you have to level up in that skill line to bite someone else, the reset I believe is always 7 days after you last did it, so you bite someone now and you wont be able to bite someone until this time in a week. And yes, there are players at the supposed spawns for both Werewolves and Vampires, when it starts to go dark lots of people will just warp to the closest wayshrine and wait. There are a number of locations to go to, but theres usually a few players at each, I have spent a few in-game nights at different ones and haven't seen either creature that needs to infect you, which is why I fell back on finding someone on Reddit.

There's also I believe a number of Werewolf and Vampire guilds in the game of players who will turn you for a bit of money and for letting them choose who you give your first bite to.

I don't understand why DKs are so terrible. I;m following the Laceration DK build on youtube but, the higher I get the weaker I am. I'm ready to smash my controller because bosses kill me so fucking fast. It doesn't help that nobody ever wants to group or help out.

Are you eating and drinking food to boost your health/magika/stamina before fights?

Some things we can't join you in because they are solo dungeons

You find provision to be hard??? I find it to be the easiest skill to upgrade.

My Provision was at level 50 last week. Back then i was like, barely level 30, and as of now, im only level 35.

When i go stealing and go into dungeons, I loot everything and like 90% of all that shit is food, so i just make stuff purely to sell it since I have the perk that allow me to make 4 items when I craft food so I was getting BANK and the provision just kept going up. Now im at 50.

Are you in the NA daggerfall GAF guild??? if you need help, I dont mind helping you at all.

This might be the problem. I wasn't doing that either for a long time but eventually I started getting killed a lot more and was also frustrated but then I actually tried eating food and the health boost you get from some really helps out a lot in keeping you alive.

so im playing as a dragon knight and recently got to level 15. currently I'm dual wielding and wanted to do some destruction staff as my secondary, was gonna go bow that way i can put more points into stamina but honestly i really don't like the bow, its shit imo. was wondering if its a good idea to go dual wield + destruction staff?

I'm a level 25 DK that runs sword/shield and destruction staff. Destruction staff has great DPS and I barely get hit most pulls since I can keep mobs CCed from a distance and burst them down.

I do switch to sword/shield on boss fights and use Green Dragon Armor and shield reflect to keep my HP up.

So making food is actually useful? I was going to ignore it completely like I did in Skyrim.
Yeah, some of the buffs are pretty potent, and can make a big difference in combat. I could see food and drink buffs being pretty helpful for high-end PvE instances.

The thing about provisions is that it wrecks your inventory & bank space. I have a fuckin' Kroger warehouse in my bank right now.

I picked this up yesterday and just about to hide from the sun and make a character.

Apologies for asking a daft question I've looking but this relentless heat is dulling my senses and I can't find anything, is there a preferred faction for a EU PS4 GAF guild?

[edit] no worries guys going a few pages back seems Ebonheart pact is the faction of choice (or at least its mentioned with regularity) Randomlampy shall be made depending on how long i procrastinate in character creator.

As you were!

Ok this maybe dumb question but where and how do I get to craglorn? I wanna go there since I'm veteran now

You need to find a quest giver to get there or join someone who is already there. I went for a look and rapidly got destroyed when I hit veteran. The whole zone seems to be for groups only. There are large numbers of veteran level 11 enemies there that just swamp you if you go solo.

Makes all the difference I eat some stale bread I found off a table and BOOM.. I have like triple health

I need to do a dungeon like right now, I'm at level 24, only have one quest, and it's a level 29 quest

Where is this quest giver

I haven't played a magica-based DK, but that build looks glassy by design.

You could trying rebuilding into something sturdier. I play a stam-based DPS DK, and he has great survivability. I have to stay on my toes because I'm in medium armor and built for damage, but I can roll all day long.

So starting in Daggerfall, will I eventually hit Skyrim?

the area all the way to the left leads you to Riften actually. and theres a questline pretty early that takes you to some island in Skyrim, idk what it was called but the npc's were dressed like characters from skyrim and they referred to the area as skyrim as well

So I started over as a Breton. I plan on going DPS/Healing. What did you do with your stats? Also any suggestion on skill lines? Did you just fill the heal and magic one? I find I die a lot. :(

Stats I have been sticking to every 2 magika and 1 health.
I have been using a resto staff with cold dmg as it slows enemies down.
Dmg comes mainly from the dawns wraith skills - sun fire and solar flare
I have the puncturing strikes from the Aedric spear skills

Healing is all from the restoring light skill tree and some passives from the resto staff tree.

I'm now lvl28 and am doing lvl35+ quests.

I'm not great at giving advice as my playstyle could be different to yours and this is my 1st healing character as I usually play mage/sorcerer

I just did the Deshaan dungeon with 2 dudes. That was fun and for some reason felt easier than the first dungeon, fungal grotto or whatever it was called.

Dungeons need to either teleport you to them or tell you what level they require, I see a shit ton and am just lost in group finder.

I ran out of quests except the one main quest that is too high for me to do, I can't find random quests

I'm about to roll a toon on the other end of the world just to see what it looks like

Yeah even wow had teleport stones

I had to teleport to party member (got to a teleport thing) then run through a bunch of higher level mobs (dying once) in order to get to a lower level dungeon....not fun

Do you guys generally select every skill in every class tree? Some reason I find myself not wanting to over select skills and thus I sit on points. Mainly because I have no build ideas.

You're going to end up with a lot of skill points if you do all the skill point quests and find all the skyshards, so I wouldn't sit on them.
