Are soul gems one time only use? Sometimes it seems like they stick around (and are able to be refilled), sometimes not.

Is there any purpose for gold ore? I've recently come across a ton of iron nodes in various mines and have a large supply of iron while also picking up transmute. I've used it to make some gold, but I don't see anything so far to use it on... anyone know? (i'm only level 18 atm)

The only thing I've seen it be used for is Jewlery.
You can use it to craft rings and amulets.
Do you have to make a copy of your save data if you plan to reinstall? Curious, because I wouldn't want to accidentally lose all my stuff if I go to reinstall.
Yes, several pages back, someone quoted an announcement that there should be a fix for 360 and PS3 issues in the week after Thanksgiving. Hopefully the PS3 patch addresses the framerate issue.
I'm having a bit of a problem. I'm in Whiterun, just talking to folks in the court yard, and out of no where, a bounty of 40 is added to me in Whiterun, guards attack me and I get no option to just pay, I haven't done anything to earn the bounty, as I'm just chilling in town.

Go to the your Magic section, and look at Active effects. If you have a disease or otherwise negative effect, it will show up in red.

I believe I ruined one of my quests. It is the
quest. I activated a the quest on my map and noticed that it was pointing to a dungeon I already cleared. The dungeon is
and when I went back most everything had reset. I continued through to where the quest arrow pointed and it led me to the room where I had already fought the boss. This time the boss was replaced with another high level enemy and the quest arrow, which was supposed pointing to
, was pointing to the ground along the edge of the room and nothing was there. I don't think there is anything I can do about it. The quest item has vanished from the face of the earth.

Anyone know how you cure diseases? I've got sometihng on my permanent effects tab called "witsbane," which halves my magicka regen. No good for a mage. How do I fix this?
go to a temple and pray at one of the shrines. it cures diseases.

So I was just wondering around Whitehurst going into places I had never been before. I went into the Catacombs and what do I find? My old running mate Uthgerd the Unbroken's tomb!! I was about to loot it but I felt a bit guilty so I left it alone lol.
As an Archer I would suggest it. Gets the aggro off you and you output some insane amount of damage.
There is a jail of somesorts around. Talk to one of the prisoners as I believe.

If you don't have a disease, it's a known bug which people won't stop saying it.
Ah, I was only aware of the framerate stuff. Well hopefully the patch addresses everything...I'm getting close to 5 MB here.

Guys I'm on PS3, and if I want to bring the game to play it on another PS3, can I copy my saves to a usb key and that's it? Or are there extra steps to take?

So quick question about enchanting...I have a sword that steals 15 health per hit. Now the enchant is depleted and I want to refill it. There is no option for refilling a weapon. Do I have to disenchant the weapon to gain the enchant and use it on another weapon to gain the enchant and to use it again? All I really want to do is to refill the weapon charge but it looks like I have no other option than disenchanting it...
how do i figure out if I am a vampire?
Active effects on the magic page as I believe, but I wouldn't know because I have not been a vampire yet...

It´s just an Idea. But it happened to me. Check your Magic section, and look at Active effects.
Go to the weapon in your menu and hit RB to recharge. You'll need to have soul gems to recharge it. If you can, always use petty and lesser gems to refill. Don't waste your good ones. Use the good ones for enchanting your items.

Another question about enchanting. What are the better enchants in the game? I feel like the 15HP per hit is good for duel wielding(me). Any opinions?
Ok, so I am really enjoying the game (aside from some monotony and a strange learning/difficulty curve). But is it me or has the franchise really not moved forward much from Oblivion? Besides the obvious visual upgrade, I just feel the basic premise, gameplay, poor combat (swordplay) and ridged animations etc make it feel like it hasn't really moved forward enough. Maybe I'm just not far enough but it's just the general feeling I'm getting, especially after being spoiled by The Witcher 2's much more fluid combat, animations, characters and narrative.

I was just standing in town no stealing. I think it's fine now, i reloaded and ran to the temple got the blessing and diseases removed, even though there was no diseases showing in my active effects. seems to be fine now. weirdness
so maybe it was something to do with a disease, but for some reason was bugged and didn't see it. Thanks for the help
So I was just exploring a snowy mountain and I came upon one of those word of power shrine thingymajigs, as I approached it a dragon came screeching over the mountain top. That fight in a gale force blizzard was my first solo dragon encounter and it was fucking epic.

You know what would be cool? Being able to re-customize your character's appearance. I hate how practically no game allows you to do this.
