Only concern is the stuttering associated with Bethesda Gamebryo games in the past. Fallout 3, New Vegas etc. all had terrible micro-stutter problems for me.
It's a laptop, so I'll take it lightly but thanks!thefil said:My computer is worse than yours in every way and I am playing at a higher resolution on those settings at that frame rate. Be free, friend.

I don't know much about PC gaming, but I'm sure I could figure it out if you point me in the right direction, thanks!
Damn. Anyone else using Crossfire that doesn't have flickering problems?pahamrick said:For AMD users there is no crossfire profile yet, so crossfire may be supported by the game but it's not working until AMD gets off their butt and releases a profile. I had to disable crossfire because I was getting weird flickering also with it enabled.
Performance wise I'm pretty happy. Running an i7 920 at 3.6ghz and a single 5870 at Ultra settings, with all sliders maxed. MSAA is disabled as I was getting weird outlines on everything with it on, but with FXAA enabled it still looks pretty good. I'm getting 34-45FPS outdoors and 60 indoors.
As far as mouse problems, turning off mouse acceleration and tweaking the sensitivity fixed all problems I had with it.

For now, the most important tweak has to do with the fact that VSync is automatically on and can't be disabled from within the game. This not only reduces FPS, it also introduces mouse lag. To disable VSync in Skyrim, add iPresentInterval=0 to the bottom of the [Display] section of the Skyrim.ini file in the \Users\[Username]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim directory.

People actually strive to DISABLE v-sync? You can't even use numpad according to Evilore, and you want proper mouse sensitivity settings?TheExodu5 said:Ugh. Mouse controls are garbage. Separate X/Y sensitivities. WHY, BETHESDA?

Is there a tweak guide or thread you are getting that from? Or is this past bethesda game experience?GasProblem said:bTreesReceiveShadows=0

Set these to 1. From what I've seen on screenshots, it makes a small but nice difference. This guy made a couple of screenshots showing the difference: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1255692-skyrim-pc-ini-and-console-tweaks/
And I guess you could set this: bMouseAcceleration=1 to 0 if you have problems with the mouse.

Those are merely ini tweaks. To think what Skrim will look like in a year or two...Gvaz said:Holy shit this looks ten times better

34-45 fps is completely unacceptable to me as it introduces a lot of image juddering. Solid 60 fps >>>>> Solid 30 fps >>>>> 34-45 fps
.
