The game looks quite great, and I can't wait for this fall to get it.

Can I assume by that last shot that you will be able to play in third person for this? If so, I'm all over it.

Morrowind lets you play both in first and third person. I don't see why it would be any different with Oblivion.

P. Moore mentioned this would be available during the launch window, so at the very least by the end of the year.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I never picked up morrowind but I noticed I can get the PC game of the year edition for 20 bucks with the expansions. May grab it.

I'm shocked at the graphical detail Bethesda has accomplished. Is this a 360 launch title?

True, it was spoken of in the GI article in which the game was revealed, if that still counts today.

They said during the press conference that it will shiip during the "launch window", meaning that it will probably miss the actual launch day but be released within the next few months. Considering that Morrowind sold better on Xbox than PC, I bet they will try to get it out by Christmas.

I knew that about Morrowind, that's why I was hoping it was true about Oblivion as well. I need to play Morrowind, actually, it came out before I got into RPGs.

It looks great but the seem where he's fighting in 3rd person the animation needs to be fleshed out a little more. I think all studios should invest in some form of motion capturing next generation.

The game looks awesome but the Patrick Stewart tie in is really lame. Westwood Studios did that with Lands of Lore about 10 years ago. Luckly his character dies right at the beginning of the game.

Damn,it shall be mine,I just hope they made the combat more fun and less clunky...I shouldn't be struggling to kill some rats...

Helmet or not, it still looks pretty slick. I just hope this time around the third person mode feels like less of a PC-esque throw away option as per usual, and that the lore is more digestible, so to speak.

This is only the 4th ES game in the main game timeline.

Elder Scrolls: Arena 1994

Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall 1996

Elder Scrolls: Morrowind 2002

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion 2005

Then there is Elder Scrolls Redguard 1998 and another online title.

That dude in the helmet still looks retarded, but otherwise this is hot.

Just look at that forest.

Yeah I wanna see some gameplay of that forest in realtime just to put all my last fears away. The forest is 3x more impressive than the other areas.
