Artistically, I hate it. It's a stroke of marketing genius, though. On a shelf crowded with bland generic box art, this will get ALOT of people to at least grab it and take a peek.

I think some people honestly didn't notice the buried guy on the bottom-left. That's all I can think of.

I saw him but didn't really notice the derpiness till now. His eyes definitely give him a derpy look. Fix the head and it's a solid boxart

Oh it will. It's a GOTY contender, calling it now. It won't get it because it's not going to be as big a name as Uncharted or Skyrim or whatever the media darling will be this year but i wouldn't be surprised if it's the best game of the year or top 3 at the worst.
