The Final Bosman Show

Ever since he has become the "face" of Gametrailers online content, I feel like his content has slipped a little. He was kind of a breath of fresh air when he first got the show. Now with the end of Invisible Walls, and all these new shows -- he just seems more stressed out in his episodes.

He should just do a month of First 15 to recharge. It's not like there's a whole lot of gaming news to talk about at the moment.

Twitch Plays Pokémon is kind of fascinating in a few respects, and I feel in a better capacity of editing and what seems like resting up, I'm sure Bosman would have some interesting things to say. Wasn't feeling this week, though.

Yeah I wasn't a huge fan of this week's either, interesting to see I'm not alone.

A lot of gaming news he could've spoken about too, the Nintendo direct for example?

I liked this episode fine. The comments lead me to believe it would be genuinely bad or something, but it's enjoyable. Not one of his best, but dude's allowed to have an off week here and there.

I enjoyed the episode, he did well for being time constrained and with minimal editing. I don't think he needs some elaborate concept every week. I'm actually glad he touched on the Twitch Plays Pokemon subject, that's in itself has been the highlight of my week in a way.

Wouldn't say it was horrific, but definitely not one of his best, and really didn't bring that much to the table. The closest it got was when he was describing being that one person to screw everything up, and get people angry at you for attention. He could've perhaps gone a little more into that, digging into why someone would crave that sort of attention, if any attention is good attention, etc.

Also, he didn't seem to understand the point of the Democracy/Anarchy vote, it was added because there's occasions where there's just too much noise for any progress to happen, and after a while it stops being fun. And trolls can still troll by voting for Anarchy, and once that's triggered, Democracy is only triggered when enough people are so frustrated by being stuck in the same area, they just want a decent chance of moving on to something fresh, without the admin stepping in and piloting Red. ("Pokemon guy.") It was a pretty clever addition, because it still leaves things up to popular vote, it just filters the noise when the vast majority want the noise filtered a little.

This episode definitely makes a case for Kyle recording a bunch of First 15s and other Mini-Bosman-esque content, and socking it away for days like this.

You folks are too rough on poor Kyle. It wasn't his best episode ever, but he was just as goofy, charming and watchable as he always is.

He spent the first minute of the episode explaining why it wouldn't be great and people still call him out for it not being great.

I understand, Kyle. Don't worry about it.

I thought the episode was fine, in the same ballpark as most episodes I have seen.
And the stinger was great.

Its like the people who bug that Chris-chan guy...
Who is Chris-chan?

Glad to see he is on the correct side of anarchy vs democracy
And which side would that be?

If I understood him correctly, he wants more anarchy, because it would make beating the game a greater accomplishment, and the video more interesting.

But, if it was pure anarchy, without people who would want to beat the game it would be pointless.
Kyle Bosman's slice of anarchy would be pointless, if there are not enough people who want to achieve a common goal.

Everyone crying over GZ pricing/length is hilarious.

I always laugh when i see people purposely leave out the digital pricing. Do i wish it was free/cheaper? Sure, why the fuck not. But TPP has a lot of cooking to do and they need money. This is no different then people begging for money on kickstarter or putting beta/demo keys when you purchase a different game.

Not defending the practice because Konami are a bunch of a-holes who but Kojima on a short leash. But i love and respect the mans work so i have no problem giving him my $30.

I enjoyed the episode fine. It wasn't great, but it was fine. You can go enjoy some 7 minute YouTube videos of bikini fails or something.

I enjoyed the episode, I just thought that the one-take thing kind of toned it down from the usual Bosman antics. It felt more just like some semi-popular YouTube guy, but he was better at that then most of those people I'd say. Also I feel like an episode of him talking about just Twitch Plays Pokemon would have been more entertaining, since talking about trolls is kind of overdone, though an episode just about TPP would have been outdated by now.

Anyways, as someone who trolls on various other sites....I mainly do it for the reactions. I think, above all, it's supposed to be funny though. The ways in which I "troll" aren't usually supposed to be mean-spirited. It's sort of meta comedy for people who are in on the joke, if that makes any sense.

It is actually pretty astonishing how dead on Kyle was with his Xbone price cut prediction. He didn't even realize how accurate he was when he was shooting.

Hilarious episode overall.
Loved the GAF shoutout, too. Hi Kyle!

It feels weird that the PS4 is "killing it", because it's doing so mostly on the strength of just being cheaper and having good multiplatform support. Xbox One exclusives still seem to garner the more attention from the press at large.

That's not to say that its successes are undeserved, but it's just a weird feeling when so many other generations were decided by having unique and highly desirable exclusives. Something is peculiar when a victor emerges more or the basis of price than killer apps.

I never thought it'd be the Bosman providing the best summary of the console war to date.

Good job.

Something is peculiar when a victor emerges more or the basis of price than killer apps.
Remember though that it was the 360 in this exact position the last time around. Cheaper, with better multiplatform performance, and in Sony's shadow when it came to high profile exclusives.

Good episode*
10/10

Pretty sure the overall consensus is that the 360 beat the PS3 despite it not having nearly as many exclusives.

Simple really. Early adopter sales are more driven by future potential than launch games. Neither machine has any killer apps available at the moment and the biggest selling franchises are all multi-platform which perform better on Ps4. Add in the fact that Ps4 is also cheaper than Xbox, is the reason that Ps4 is killing it.

Love how he couldn't keep a straight face while saying Sonic Boom is looking good as well as the cracking up on the final scene.

Hmmmm... Last episode: "not that good" "turned it off halfway through"

oh shit. Do a PS4 is awesome ep!: "spot on!" "great ep!"

Way to turn those internets around Kyle. You're a smart one.

;)

It's so refreshing to see an American journalist being completely honest. At last! And he's right about the X1, it's doing just fine too.

What is Kyle talking about?
Clearly Sonic Boom will be a revolutionary speedy traversal on improving the platformer genre as a whole into mainstream relevance
