Haha, just realized what the banner photo is a play on.

It's uncanny, really.

Nice video, but I don't really agree with his last point about persistent dead bodies. I have wished for them before, but only for certain kinds of games like Diablo or some FPS games where one would rack up a huge body count and being able to see it and understand the gravity of it all.

But on the other hand, in a lot of circumstances, it would impede visibility and game play, not to mention take up an undue amount of resources that could be better spent on other, more important, things.

The business model has always influenced game design. Boss battles come from wanting to steal your money and MMOs are designed as skinner boxes. It's just more overt and crass in the case of microtransactions.

This guy is good. His opinions and the humor, it's all natural. I'm anticipating the day that GT will fire Geoff and put Bosman as their "big man". this will never happen =(

If only this could be a reality. I'll watch anything with the Bosman in it. He's that awesome.

I enjoyed the second episode a great deal. The proliferation of microtransactions to the point where they are infecting loot in games is a bit terrifying to me. The loot loop is one of the things I love in gaming - adventure, exploration, loot. If that kind of stuff ever infects say, The Elder Scrolls, it would be nothing less than tragic. (Hoping Bethesda knows how bad that would be.)

The stroy thing is so freakin true....I love Mafia 2, but the DLC clothing/cars are so jarring especially in story context....you get a brand spanking new car from 5 years in the future during the part of your game where you are dirt poor

Really enjoyed the most recent video as well. I disagree with the disclaimer in the opening. His opinions are mostly RIGHT, not wrong.

What a great show. I think I'll subscribe to it. I have a lot of the same things in common about games with him, so it definitely piques my interest.

Great stuff. He's seriously hilarious. I missed the Playstation Event Takeaway video he did and just got around to watching it... the closing minute is so funny.

"#2: Monetization is creeping into game design" is exactly the problem I have with this stuff.

Being optional doesn't mean the game wasn't designed to purposefully annoy you, under equip you, or otherwise put you at a disadvantage.

If a game has a grind, developers are incentivized to lengthen that grind as they add more ways to pay to shorten it.

Another great episode. He continues to articulate his points well, and he's such a likable dude. He's like the antithesis of Arthus Gies. We need more people like Bosman in the industry.

Goldman Sachs really needs to win the worst company in America award one day. That company deserves it FAR more than EA.

Great episode, made me miss cheat codes :(

Yeah, I really like this guys show.

My favorite segment was the story portion. Just because like many of you, I grew up with games with a lot of cheat codes that were really arcadey and fun.

So I liked that he told a personal story that tied that point together. I miss me some cheats.

good new episode! i like it that the format is not set in stone :)

and hey, lurker Kyle! please add the OG Playstation conference video under Final Bosman -show too so its easier to find. Thanks!
