"Next gen" is what he said, and I guess a lot of people don't regard Wii U as next-gen. (I disagree) Plus, he already knew Smash Bros is going to be announced at E3 and that for sure will have double jump, so yeah. I don't think he regards Wii U as next gen.
Pretty sure that Titan game from Respawn also has double jumping, IIRC.
