The Final Bosman Show

Well it does make it feel less like a new adventure, and more like a collection of random levels.

MY problem with the game (from what shown so far) is the level design, really.
It barely looks like a platformer, whereas Galaxy was what i would consider the pinnacle of 3d platformer purity, these levels look more like a flat playground with some random jump here and there, that lack any form of challenge.
I think part of the problem is its multiplayer nature.

As i said in the thread right after the conference: is this a platformer or a party game?

That said, i'm more than willing to change my stance as more levels get revealed.

Honest question, have you played Mario 3D Land? I suspect what we've seen of Mario 3D World is early game stuff. 3D Land's early game levels were very similar to what we've seen of World. Very open, big flat areas with little challenge. But, later in the game you
unlock an entire Special world as big as the main game
that increases the difficulty significantly and becomes a truly awesome platformer game.

To answer your question: No, though it was the one reason i wanted to buy a 3DS for.

I guess for a new 3d Mario my expectations were kind of high, coming from Galaxy (which i consider one of the best games from this generation.. if not ever) but as i said, if the game picks up and becomes a legit platformer later on, i'll be more than happy to get a WiiU for it!
What they actually showed didn't impress me in the slightest, though.

Oh my lord that was painfully unfunny. I tough people were overreacting when talking about that show.

Maybe it's just cause I can't stand laugh tracks.

I feel it's the laugh track/studio audience that turned me off the show instead of the quality of the jokes/scenarios. If it was toned down a little, I probably could have stuck with it.

and it's not that I can't stand laugh tracks, or studio audiences. The laugh track/studio audience laughter in Friends was probably my upper limit of tolerance.

Edit: we call it a laugh track because it may as well be. Laughing loudly at every little thing may as well be some person hitting a button to bring up laughter at said things.

lol, no wonder his 10th episode dance was so awesome. How did you find this?

Also I found this just by searching his name on YouTube, figured there would be some other old skits.

I know I'm a bit late on this, but I just googled "Kyle Bosman E3 Speech" or something really vague along those lines and it was one of the top 3 results.

I didn't realize what I was unleashing upon the world...

We will never know. He is certainly not using a Sony device though :)

I have a version of the Gametrailers app on my Tablet S. Downloaded it last year. It's not nearly as good as the iOS version though and it's gone from the Play Store by now I think. Don't know why it's gone, but it is on my device so he might have it on a Sony tablet, too.
I don't want to split hairs though, of course he's probably using iOS. ;)

Oh, it's Wednesday again already. I'll wait for the hubby to come home since we usually watch these together lately.

there was something so satisfying about pushing the perfectly rounded eject button and seeing the lid pop up, pressing down the disc firmly and tapping down that lid until it clicked back in place, and then hitting the power button, seeing the light turn on and jumping into a PS1 game

nothing has come close to rivalling that feeling since
