Even with the awesome 3-on-1 fight today, the best thing of the episode was (like always he's on) Capt. Cold. Wentworth Miller hamming it up 1000% is the fucking best.

Nice push/pull technique with the camera there at the beginning when Barry figured out what was going on. Don't see it too often, especially on television.

You know I suppose it makes it more realistic for Flash to get help from people like the Arrow, but it makes it look he can't handle things on his own. It's like if we got a Batman show and he just calls in Superman when he's out of his league. It just makes it less interesting for a major story arc and villain to be handled this way. It would be fine for a one episode team up here and there, or if they did an actual Justice League show.

Legends of Tomorrow?!? ooh, DC, yes keep on expanding this tv-verse. I'm ready for dat Hawkgirl >:)

Also, is CBS playing ball with CW to allow the Supergirl show to co-exist with the Flash/Arrow/Legends tv-verse? Or will it be it's own thing?

How the hell is
Flashpoint even going to work in the context of a show that's already tied in with one other and about to launch a second?

probably by

just having things continue in the current timeline, but barry is gone for x amount of time. Unless like the poster above said, they wanna risk it

indeed it might be their way to
make the city no longer hate the arrow.
I seriously doubt they planned things this far ahead, but if they did, then my oh my good job for them. Anyways Flashpoint stuff can easily be used just to retcon a bunch of stupid shit like people being dead or alive. It's not a true comic book show until that happens

Do I need to watch Arrows last couple of episodes to see how everything connects?

the recap at the start of the next arrow episode will likely cover things fine. they have been just doing completely pointless things to stall out the season for a while anyways so it's not like there is much for a preview to cover. (and heck the flash cross overs have covered all the main plot points in arrow anyways lol)

that was certainly fun. god damnit Eddie, i feel this move he made will make Iris resent Barry for a bit.

he might bite the bullet in the finale.

loved the scenes with all the rogues. Spartacus is free!

Ugh I hope they don't have flashpoint carry over to Arrow to fix it, that'd be way too obvious and a cheap escape route. I've said they would do that ever since Barry travelled back in time pretty much, so I wouldn't be surprised but I really hope they don't.

Wasn't a huge fan of this episode tbh. Most of it felt like an extremely contrived detour from the Welles plot just to set up a Rogues story for next year.

Loved the episode so much, and what is this legends of tomorrow yall keep mentioning? Fee me in pls

Arrow/Flash spin off show featuring Canary (Not Black Canary), Firestorm, Captain Cold, Atom, Heatwave, Hawkgrill, Rip Hunter, and some guy still unannounced.

Rip Hunter travels back in time to the present day where he brings together a team of heroes and villains in an attempt to prevent an immortal from destroying the world and time itself

It's just going to be Barry disappearing until the mid season finale I can imagine. Then he brings a letter home with him from Papa Queen to come full circle

Hell if I know. Just passing on rumors :P

It does make a lot of sense for them to go with John Stewart, though. He's bigger in the public consciousness thanks to JLU, and he adds some extra diversity to the main cast. He's also not Hal Jordan, which after the last Green Lantern movie is probably considered an asset in and of itself :P

As for actors, you're right that they probably haven't locked down anybody in particular yet, but they've probably started working on preproduction for JL, so the rosters should be coming together.

Stewart only had JLA/JLU while Hal has had two TV shows, three animated movies, a movie which while was not great (I haven't seen it so I don't know) it wasn't because of the character itself.
but enough thread derail, seeing a GL, any GL, on TV would be glorious. though I'm not sure if it would be done justice. but Flash has been pleasantly surprising with what they have done with the CG this season.

i find it funny that the firestorm entrance and the scene in the parking lot when firestorm lands is the exact same footage

It's the new spinoff. 13 episodes, assembly of various characters. Caity Lotz and Wentworth Miller are regulars, though I don't think we know who (precisely) they're playing; could be the characters we're familiar with, could be from somewhere else in the timeline/multiverse. Also, Hawkgirl and Rip Hunter are in it, though I can't remember their actor's names. The latter is Rory from Doctor Who, if you've seen that.

EDIT: Beaten, and incomplete, not a good combo :P

Stewart only had JLA/JLU while Hal has had two TV shows, three animated movies, a movie which while was not great (I haven't seen it so I don't know) it wasn't because of the character itself.

And yet, none of those managed to make the impact JL/JLU did. And the movie is something they probably want to actively avoid.

I personally think his mom still dies - and we miss the totality of the Flashpoint change, but I think there will be other changes. I think she probably says something along the lines that if he became the man he is because of her death, she's proud of him -- and that he should let it be. But, we'll see ...

Maybe there's branching timelines, and Barry travels into the timeline where he saves his mother like in flashpoint, while the Arrow TV show remains in the current timeline (and Barry would go missing during the period he's in the other timeline). The Flash will probably have rules similar to the Steins;Gate's time traveling rules.

Preview Spoiler:
If you guys look closely at the promo video, you can see that Barry's mother is lying on the floor with blood on her stomach. She might not live and he's just letting her see him grown up

I know people are on the Flashpoint hype train now, but I hope they hold off on it. I know since Flash has been delivering everyone is just in "give it all to me now!" mode but I would rather see them start laying some seeds and letting some stuff stew so we get more satisfying payoff's. The thing about Flashpoint is it really worked because of seeing all the characters you knew twisted all around. To give something like that more impact I would much rather see them hold off on that but keep hinting at it, bring in the new Legends show and introduce more characters for a whole season and get started, give Flash another season to flesh out characters even more, give Arrow a season to right itself and then BAM have one whole season of all three shows in the flashpoint universe just all out batshit crazy.

I honestly would prefer if they never did Flashpoint or if they do it make it one or two episodes but have everything revert back to normal after.

Solid ep, except for the Snart bit. Couldn't Cisco have used the gun if it was necessary? Not that there's anything wrong with having more Wentworth and Peyton lol.

how reliable are these guys? Green Lantern is so far off that it hardly makes sense to book an actor now but what do I know?

They're hit and miss. Sneider said he was 95% sure we weren't getting a white Spiderman and that's what we seem to be getting. When it comes to GL none of the scoopers can seem to get any info. The only info I've seen about him is
that he's not in BvS and is rumored to show up at the end of JL Part 1. That was before a script was even written, so I'm not sure what's going on now.

For some odd reason I think for Justice League 3 we're getting a multiverse movie.

another thing i find funny is arrow telling reverse flash that the nanites came from ray palmer ... way to keep a secret bro

and the flash catching firestorm from a 20 foot fall after being launched hundreds of km/h into the side of a building

I'm curious to know when Ray developed these speed altering nanites for Oliver since this all takes place before the Arrow finale and Oliver has been in Nanda Parbat for quite some time.

That was some really dumb comic book shit, like a childish fanfic with Sonic the Hedgehog solving crimes with Obama. They were willing to sacrifice the fantastic plot and pacing that this show had since the last few weeks just for the sake of pushing their middling spin-off and making the audience pay attention to Arrow's crappy third season. Pretty nice of Ray to create those arrows on his malasian cell under the effects of sleeping gas.

You shoo, go away now.
