Berlanti on twitter saying the finale to Flash as well as Arrow are like the ending to this episode but on steroids. I need the finale now. Should have been a two hour finale tonight.

If I had to guess, Oliver showed up in Central City before last week's episode of Arrow. The reasoning being last week and tomorrow's episodes happen immediately after each other.

that means i have to watch arrow tomorrow, ugh. its like having desert first watching flash then having to eat liver watching arrow.

Only to run into Robert Queen, Green Arrow.

Tom Welling shows up as Clark.... not going to happen but it would be funny.

Wish the fight was longer :( it was over in a flash.

Great episode though. Poor Cisco he just wants a little lovin'. Caitlyn's reaction to him kissing her in the past was hilarious.

What a great time to be alive

I wonder if they cut much from it. Stephen Amell has said the fight took three nights to shoot. Then again it probably just takes a long time to shoot something like this anyway.

Love the Hal Jordan reference. Really feels like this episode is going to mold Barry's outlook on life with Cold's betraylton.

Curious if Hal easter egg will turn into more things. Maybe they finally locked down a GL for Justice League? Weren't the latest rumors John for the film universe?

The number of DC references in this show. That Green Lantern drop as well. Crazy!

I still can't believe they're going right ahead and doing this. I would have figured they'd do something else but if this is the case then it's a good bet what the new series could be about. Especially if it airs before Flash and Arrow return this Fall.

"One of their test pilots disappeared" OHHHH SHITTT GUYS.
Bruce Wayne, Superman reference and now Hal. Oh lordy.

That proto-League entrance sequence. That fight. So good. This god damn show.

And
we have Flashpoint next week.

Didn't they say that they're not doing any easter eggs they don't intend to have eventually pay off? And with DCCU GL rumored to be John Stewart...

Dude, don't get my hopes up. Hal would make so much sense in the TVverse with his two BFF's already headlining their own shows.

I remember them saying that about Constantine.

Otherwise I'm never going to let down that Kahndaq reference in season 2 Arrow and the Kahndaq jewel in season 1 Flash.

I am curious how Legends figures into things. Do we know for certain that
they're using the finale as a backdoor pilot,
or was that just a rumor?

Also, food for thought: this show is technically the Flashpoint universe. It's not as extensively fucked as the one from the comics, but it's still fundamentally RF's creation.

The thing with Flashpoint is that
it wasn't Thawne's creation, it was Barry's. All the little deviations to the timeline were a result of him saving his mom and slightly changing history

which rumors of John Stewart? there has been nothing (AFAIK) other than Tyresse simping for the role.

Haven't watched the source, but here.

And at this point, I almost hope Tyrese gets the part.

Still, as compared to the main timeline (which this show pretty clearly branched off of), it's pretty close. It'd be fairly amazing if the "Flashpoint" everybody's expecting takes place in something a lot closer to the traditional DCU.

how reliable are these guys? Green Lantern is so far off that it hardly makes sense to book an actor now but what do I know?

Hell if I know. Just passing on rumors :P

It does make a lot of sense for them to go with John Stewart, though. He's bigger in the public consciousness thanks to JLU, and he adds some extra diversity to the main cast. He's also not Hal Jordan, which after the last Green Lantern movie is probably considered an asset in and of itself :P

As for actors, you're right that they probably haven't locked down anybody in particular yet, but they've probably started working on preproduction for JL, so the rosters should be coming together.

Another great episode, ollie kicking ass was classic. Eobard thinking he was going to beat him without his speed and reality set in real fast for him.

Timeline wise I assume this takes place during the time oliver came back to get nyssa. He took a little side trip alone to help his buddy and boom that favor is going to get called in for a future episode of arrow aka tomorrows episode no doubt.

to recap, loved it and liked how eddie straight told iris hes out and how she marries barry, dude so hurt he didn't even care about preserving the future.

Yeah Wells doesn't have all the combat training Oliver does (I assume so at least) so non-speed reverse flash couldn't win a normal hand to hand. He did get a good shot off with that pipe though. Now Oliver knows he'll live to be 86 so he has plenty of time to brood. The way he handled himself in this fight truly shows that he's the Batman of the Flarrowverse.
