An imprisoned Wells finally explains why he killed Nora to Barry (to unmake the Flash by tragedy after being thwarted in his murder attempt), not realizing that he'd need the Flash to return to his home time.

He wants Barry to help him go home (basically a truce) in exchange for Barry getting the chance to save Nora Allen.

No one thinks this a good idea except Joe and Barry.

Time travel is a sledgehammer, not a scalpel. Barry does not appreciate this yet. Even Thawne didn't/doesn't understand the consequences of his attempts to kill Barry.
