To be honest though he is the second best driver this year, massive improvement from last year. Amazing guy, amazing drive by him today.

Lewis was behind him at one point after the drive through and he's 5th now. He had a poor race and didn't take advantage of the SC period.

Di Resta a fantastic 6th place, ahead of Rosberg, Sutil, Massa and Perez.

So, Vettel is 1 point away from the world championship. Unless if something goes weird, Vettel will be crowned world champion in Suzuka.

This isn't the only race he has looked poor. He has been a different driver since his accident. Other than in the wet, he was decent before that. He just doesn't look like he has the drive in him anymore.

Sure mclaren just did not have the pace or speed this year to win it all, but they were pretty darn close. And had a guy on the podium almost every race. If they did not make all the mistakes they had or had all the crashed the constructors race would be much closer.
