Actually only 4. Monaco, Canada, USA and Brazil

Ah ok, was going off what Fox had done for years. Here is hoping the championship is still being fought over in November (ah who am I kidding, NFL will have the market fully locked up for those final two NBC races).

Seems harsh, Perez didn't leave any room to do anything else.

On the replay it looked like their was space for Alonso to put at least two wheels on the circuit, four if he rode the kerb. Had he made some attempt to stay on the circuit then he wouldn't have been able to accelerate away quicker than Perez and probably would have been passed.

Those yellow curbs are massive, had he gone over it he would have just gone into the side of Perez.

So he has to give the position back on start finish after the restart. That a good solution for hi since he can than push after the first corner and try to overtake.

Class by Alonso going over to Checo after the Red flag. Sucks he has to give the position back, but the call could have gone either way.

SO perez should put his car there and leave no space to the car in front and he will be able to overtake anyone? This is a bad precedent set by the stewards because if Alonso turned into the corner it would have ended badly for both.

Lets say 2 laps behind the Sc means they have to go 30 laps on fresh tires and on lighter fual loads than the first laps.

RBR should easily be able to push and maintain second and 3rd.

EDIT: alonso could have breaked. Perez was in front after the corner.

Thinks his PR is better than yours.

Perez had the racing line and was ahead at the time, doesn't really matter how tight the squeeze (unless the pass was blatantly dangerous and would cause an accident), it's up to the person behind to back off.

I don't disagree, but in that case he should have braked and given up the position, which is what he would do on a circuit with grass rather than tarmac on the side of the chicane.

Had it been a normal track Perez would have had to leave room for Alonso though.

when they are alongside they have to leave room.

If they were racing on Gran Turismo's Monaco track layout, Fernando would have gone into the wall at Nouvelle since Checo left no room for him.

Yup, I'm that bored right now.

Everyone should listen to Instant Crush from their new album. Such a fantastic track.

True, but there is barely enough room for two cars to go through side by side at that corner even if they slowly lined it up. It is one of the few overtaking spots on the circuit and you cannot allow people who do not want to give up their position to simply jump across the middle and get away with it.
