I've never had trouble running D2 under Vista. You should be fine.

I've had all kinds of problems running D2 with Vista. Massive slowdown, and pixels that just randomly break up and disappear for no reason. I couldn't even make it through the first chapter before I gave it up.

I also had problems with Warcraft 3 on Vista, but nothing as bad as with Diablo 2. Starcraft also runs pretty well on Vista, though I do have problems with the sound completely dropping at times and I can't get it back unless I reboot the game.

What video card do you had? It could be driver related issues.
 
hey so im in need of a seizure and i found my old virtual boy but no controller or ac adaptor so if any soul has one to spare i would be greatful and would be willing to compensate somehow
 
^^ That's possible. I should mention though, I'm running Home Premium x64, so I have updated drivers. It certainly could be related to a specific card though. I'm still using ATi 9800 Pro AIW. I haven't had trouble with War3/WoW/Starcraft either. It certainly wouldn't be unusual for one person to have those issues though.



\/\/\/ unfortunately for you, all of those games will be pried from my cold, dead hands.

Haha damn, I saw Virtual Boy and thought my dream of owning one was about to come true... alas it's not to be. If anyone else is looking to unload theirs, I'd happily pay the shipping :D

honestly it was a guilty pleasure back in the day and considering i have not played it in almost 8 years my urge to hook it up just came back, but i feel once i finally do turn it back on its gonna wind up on this thread so ill let you know :lol

ATI cards are better for older games. Maybe that's it with D2 in Vista?

lol but i never thought of Akala as a well known artist at all ha (just found him randomly), besides when i dl'ed the song it called it electro livin' so i didn't think it'd be obvious ha.
