The world premiers other than Psychonauts 2 weren't really all that spectacular but the Iwata tribute was lovely and Geoff putting Konami on blast was worth it.

All those people recording the performance with their cell phones. A performance that's streamed online for the world to see. I don't get this.

I think it said Witcher 3 on the card but it was the Her Story actress who won Best Voice Actor. Jade Raymond said Witcher 3 with her name attached and his reaction was like 'huh?'

As was hers, she obviously recognized the mistake after saying it; almost certainly a misprinted card.

He isn't spinning, he's actually controlling shit.

eeeh whatever. It's clear his setup fucked up

Couldn't really see his gear, but I didn't notice any MIDI controllers. You're probably right though. He was most likely just launching clips in Ableton.

I'm bummed that they didn't do anything with Best Soundtrack/Score. That was the one I was most excited for.

Kinda think Ori should have won that category, but oh well.

That end was really weird and anti-climatic though lol

Not bad overall, its an award show with PSX in a few days what can you expect

Did you know Halo invented the FPS?
Very enjoyable show!! I don't feel like I wasted my time watching it and the pace was really well done. Some mishaps but I can't blame the producers

Well, ok, so Deadmau5 was just a TI5 repeat, right down to being a really weird way to end the event. At least it didn't have the weird camera zooms...

I take that back, the zooms made that night.

I'm SOOOOO glad i wasted two hours watching a shitty version of last years show.
Bloodborne or MGSV should have been GOTY, not Dragon Age Inquisition #2
Garbage premiers
Garbage deadmouse ending
No kojima

Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
I want that two hours of my life back. Most of the world premiers were a joke. The best part was the Jab at Sutherland.

Probably won't bother next year. 3 years in a row it's been bad.

Yeah because those games are totally similar.

They have the same fundamental flaws. Emphasis on open world immersion over quality, constrained design. A bevy of things to do instead of doing one thing well. Cruddy base mechanics and pointless RPG trappings.

That Witcher 3 is well written and has that same writing throughout its side quests whereas Dragon Age's side activities are blantantly filler and its story the same crappy, trope filled BioWare standard isn't particularly relevant to me. The game could have the best story of any medium of all time for all I care and still be a bad game. Great writing can't make up for a bad game, and poor writing can't drag down a good game. (See: MGSV) You cannot screw up the fundamentals of the medium you're working in no matter how right you get the rest of it.

That was really really not that good. The awards parts were decent, but almost all of the "World Premieres" were dull. Only high points were Psychonauts and Mark Hamill.
