I'm thinking he's speaking more to the request of voice actors getting "residuals" and stuff when there's a far larger group of people who are more deserving of it.

It's a difficult issue. On the one hand, actors deserve to make a living wage, and deserve to enjoy the success of the product they worked on. On the other hand, there are literally hundreds of people who work on some games, and who almost invariably work harder than the voice actors.
