I'll stick with Overwatch. Too much blood for me for some reason. Characters look weird too.
It's going to be tough to break people from Overwatch to try out any of these clones.
In much the same way MMO wannabes struggled in the wake of WoW.
Blizzard sets the trends. The rest of the industry is just chasing their shadow.

I thought we'd get at least one. No idea there would be so many. smh. I'm amazed he was even able to speak. I'd be a mess.

That's the problem exactly. We should celebrate the fact that the medium is being represented with the care Geoff has put into this as well as creating a podium for makers to stand and talk a bit about inspiration and drive. This is what helps bring us enjoyment, but the only route some apparently can take is that of rudeness. We should be better than that.

And it's not just this, but everyone making fun of the Kojima presentation and speech from Geoff. They're friends and he's aggravated like we are about what happened, which resulted in some serious bullshit and that company kicking him off the project and having the fucking gall to sell us all an unfinished product.

That shit being called out is important so while you can "cringe" over something that I feel has every right to be said and done, I personally don't feel that way about it.

Definitely. Video games are not a lifestyle.

It's sad that it has to be the message. It sucks that video games can't just be entertainment and the general public will think games are just for people who can't handle reality.

It should make video games be taken seriously though. I've seen so many videos of people talking about how they've attempted suicide or battled depression and then played Dark Souls and didn't feel so alone. To a lesser extent, I recently went through a pretty heartbreaking break up and games helped me take my mind off of it.

Ok going back and after reading these posts some are really stupid. Did you need to share your disdain for a man's life struggle? Why not just keep it to yourself? Being rude shouldn't add to the discussion.

Since everyone is still quoting it, yeah, I do have a problem with a guy who spent the final years of his son's short life to make a game about how much he suffered as a father and the final message from this game being the same trite "god works in mysterious ways" shit message. It was more and evangelical story than about actual grief and moving on.

As someone who has lost family through cancer I find this really fucking appalling to use tragic death as a tool to become a media darling.

Also, what the fuck was it with him making himself some skinny dude while his son was an amorphous blob of polygons.

Being able to fire behind you in Lawbreakers seems interesting, although I do wonder how it handles aiming for that, seems like it would be of minor use if it was just blindfire (maybe aim assisted somehow?)

Someone pointed out his mistake and he already responded that he gets where he's wrong. Chill.

Er, chill? I hardly replied in an over the top manner. And the poster got banned. So I'm not even sure as to why this response is necessary, except for defending an extremely shitheaded comment.

And hey, even with some context about the game provided, it's still a fucking dumb comment. But hey, defend away mang.

I bought Titanfall 2 because I have a Mountain Dew/Doritos/Buffalo Wild Wings Titan.

Not because of some bullshit corporate sellout song.

What is EA doing with Titanfall 2? Game is fantastic, but that advertisement, man. Weird song remix to put on the trailer, and that static voice at the end.
