Stellar Blade got shafted so hard, but I was ready for that. Stellar Blade triggered everyone so hard that there was no way they were going to let it win anything. Silent Hill and Final Fantasy also got hit hard.

Given that I'm a bit surprised BMW won anything but they couldn't ignore the sales domination it had or the insane CCU record it set for a non-GAAS title.

Biggest surprise for me is how thoroughly Nintendo got shafted. I expected at least Jamboree to win something. So it was very sweet to see the Astro team pay respects to Nintendo in their GOTY acceptance speech.

Not surprised too much about Rebirth, after all XVI won quite a lot last year and Metaphor is the hot new JRPG IP. Happy for that game's awards, too. The only big game release that won something probably not deserved was Hellblade II. Even the audio design was worst there than the first game, let alone everything else not graphics.

Valve should just come out and discredit when these rumors arise for HL3.

Valve are very good at keeping their fucking mouths shut. The rest of the industry could learn a lot from them.

If there is a Half Life 3, it's never going to be announced at someone else's show. I've had a laugh here with it, but nothing about Gabe says he'd jump into bed with the Dorito Pope for a promotional event.

I hope Doucet looked them dead in the eyes when he said it and gripped that award tight knowing it could have gone to rebirth.

Solid show overall, Onimusha is probably the biggest reveal for me.

Respect to Keighley for letting the muppets roast him to the high heavens: "Does Kojima know he's Geoff's friend?" and "DLC winning GOTY is like a pre-order bonus winning a lifetime achievement award" were both pretty great.
Honestly that's the biggest surprise for me tonight. That and Virtua Fighter.

Honestly RGG studio probably haven't slept in years.

if half life 3 exists my guess is they're waiting for the next headset / index to announce it and alyx was a huge beta for it, for devs getting used to the tech

It's a travesty that XVI won anything last year and Rebirth got a few nominations and only came away with best OST. I recognize Metaphor must be excellent, but I don't think people realize how Rebirth scaled up the traditional JRPG to modern standards in a way other studios just haven't done. It definitely deserves more recognition.

It really felt like a GAF or Reddit poster wrote all the muppet material this year, in the best way possible.

Damn Nintendo and Microsoft didn't have shit to show tonight... sticking to their own shows or just not ready to show shit? Disappointed there was no switch 2 reveal.

So does anyone know what the super hype 2 games were that Jason Schreier was talking about? I imagine to him the new naughty dog game was one of them. Not quite sure what number 2 was

Okay, I gotta give it to Geoff. He delivered this year. A lot of strong reveals. My favorites...

-Ueda's new game. I need that SOTC x Evangelion x BLAME! in my life
-Onimusha: So glad to see it coming back
-Josef's game: Looks pretty fun and dude just seems like a lot of fun
-Almost everything SEGA showed off: the new RGG game looks crazy, Virtua Fighter 6 I can' wait to see more. All-Stars racing is back.
-Intergalatic: From the '80s anime stuff (hopefully there's some of that in the game itself) to the space vibes, I'm in.

There were a few other good-looking games revealed too but I need to check up their names again.

If you honestly believe that Astro Bot was a better game than Space Marine 2, and you are a man, then you need to start wearing dresses. It's a stupid kid's game for manchildren.
Don't worry, you will cope with Astro Bot winning one day, as you are such a strong man.

I trust Naughty Dog to make a good game. That doesn't mean I know it won't have DEI stuff in it, but I don't think you can necessarily tell from the trailer alone. The actress was in some other stuff, she was in Kaleidoscope on Netflix, she's a decent actress.
