The Game Awards 2024 Will Have Big News, Says VGC's Founder

Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 will feature big announcements, according to VGC founder Andy Robinson.

I'm cautiously optimistic that we might see some cool stuff and reveals. What do you guys think we'll see?


I doubt we'll see anything GTA 6 related as R* always does it's own thing but you never know.

Sony likes to do its own thing these days too but I still think there's a good chance we could see Naughty Dog's new game. The Last of Us reveal was during the VGAs iirc.

1.) RPG gimmick game that leads the industry in difficulty, runway for nerds who love the label "I beat it in the hardest difficulty"

I think they can reveal it here, but it will be too early, no?

- Phil said that their handheld device is "a few years away." So why reveal it multiple years before the release?
- Will they announce their traditional console, a success to Series X here, to be released next year? I think that'll hit the brand hard as their Series X and S sales will tank even more. Current Series S|X owners will also feel short-changed as their gen would have ended earlier than usual.

Let's see.

And no, OP, you always know with RockstarGames, they will never downgrade their status by showing anything in this shitshow.
Sony will most definitely also not show anything big, at least nothing from their biggest studios.
So the biggest games from the biggest studios will be missing like always and people will wonder why they even bothered watching this shit.
