THE GAMEFAQS DON'T ASK DON'T TELL POLICY OFFICIALLY VIOLATED

Is this some made up stuff created by DS users or something? What is it? How did it come to be? And does it have potential to catch on like the pokemon-craze of yesteryear?

PICTOQUEST IS NOT REAL, unless you want it to be. Just pretend you're playing it inside Pictochat. Draw fights between your team and a Metroid, or whatever. Have fun, dude. Anti-Pictoquest people, STAY OUT...Also, I've taken some material from what others have said happen in the game. I don't feel like working out any credits, but, yeah...

this is even more pathetic than that time i made a Rygar 2 cartridge out of wood and stuck it in my uncle's NES, expecting it to work.

A gamefaqs thread...why did you...

Hey! Gamefaqs are good for guides, right? I just happen to stop by the DS board and saw that thread. Thought it would spark up an interesting convo here about PicoChat's potential?

The only potential PictoChat has is the ability to draw boobies and peepees.

The first thing I received from someone anonymous in my office building was a picture of boobs and the words "WHO ARE YOU?"

I am so confused. For instance, why is there a link to GameFAQs?
i think it proves just how official this is. It makes me weep when i realize such quality games like Dragon Ball Z vs Smash Bros. Melee aren't being developed.

I was genuinely intrigued by this Pictoquest thing.
Then, I saw the Gamefaqs forum link, and instantly imagined the paste-eating talents of the short-bus allstars that populate that forum community. :-\

Anywho, here's how to, in theory, unlock Pictoquest. Go to Pictochat Room B and type in "Pictoquest is awesome!" You and anyone else in the room will be cut off from wireless contact and you and your pals may play Pictoquest together. You can unlock some secret stuff depending on if there's certain games in the two slots.

Kirby (Beat Mission 30.)
Baby Mario (Load the game with Touch & Go and YI)
Samus (She's suitless, baby. Load up the game with MPH and MF, then quit and load with MZM now. You'll unlock Samus.)
Bob (The cat from Animal Crossing. Just beat Bonus Mission 1 for him.)
Homer (Beat Mission 48 and unlock him. For an upgrade, beat the mission again with him in front and he'll be powered up.)

Mission 1: After waiting the first minute, the DS will draw a metroid and you have three chances to draw it almost exactly alike, and if succeeding in doing so, you will get the Arm Cannon weapon.

Mission 2: First they give you a cookie to draw. Draw the cookie. If he comes out perfectly, you will get the Cookie Dude as a partner after beating the mission. Anyways, whether he's done right or not, Pac-Man will come on-screen. He's your first boss! Draw walls to keep him away from the Cookie Dude, who's running away. Keep Pac-Man at bay for 5 minutes, and you've beaten the mission!

Mission 3: On Brinstar you will fight 10 fake, weak Kraids and Ridleys. if you beat them all the real Kraid and Ridley will fight you. Beating them summons the real Kraid and Ridley. (Samus is key in this mission.)

Mission 4: This unlocks the PictoShop, where you buy and draw your own weapons.

:lol :lol :lol

The first thing I drew in the squigglevision on SM64DS were a pair of cans. Then I held down a shoulder button, waited for them to move a bit.
I let go and giggled in excitement as I watched them jiggle. I was so proud.

Spoilered in case someone hasn't gotten to this mission yet: Anyone know how to get past the Metroid? Everytime my Cookie Dude attacks it, it uses a boobie shield to protect itself! Do I need Samus in my party? How do I get Samus?! Please help. :(

Dude that is so NSFW. I'm feeling all tingly now.

Seriously, you all are being too harsh. What's wrong with people using their imaginations in creative ways? Isn't this how some games are created anyway? I can imagine this is how Shiggy created Donkey Kong and Jumpman. Although, I'll admit, paying $150 for a game device, and coming up with concepts like this, literally screams BOREDUM. But hey, if they're happy, then let em' be.

Is that a Metroid, Belfast?

Yeah, there's one in there somewhere.

The idea is patently retarded and pathetic on a number of levels. Miyamoto had the ability to actually put his ideas into programmed game form with rules and structure that couldn't be jideously broken or thrown out altogether. Playing something with these ideas would be like playing a game developed by Muppet Babies with the Downs.

Haven't you heard of GTA? They're following the popular open-ended structure. Get with the times, man. :D

Hey you can't blame these people for making up shit. DS + Gamefaqs is a deadly combination, it's practically Gaming Desert + Gaming Retardation. :lol

PictoQuest is awesome. Wait 'til you guys see Alfonzo and Lorenzo show up as hidden characters - then you'll take it all back.

Dude, Buck Godot.

Buck Godot is a hidden character in PictoQuest, too. It's just that you have to draw him yourself.

Man, I'd love to see a Buck Godot video game, with the caveat that it must not be allowed to suck. Buck running around and blasting things, drinking heavily, and occasionally pulling guard duty at the Velvet Fist? Oh, hell yeah.

Look, a man can dream, can't he?

PICO-Quest is more like it

This is just too good. Should-be-Ritalin-Junkies spend 150 dollars for something you could buy for two dollars on an off-day at the local yard sale.
